Kim Kardashian has asked that a judge sign off on her divorce from Kanye West because the rapper has failed to keep details of their divorce and family matters "private" and, as a result, has caused her "emotional distress".

In new court documents viewed by TMZ, the mom-of-four said: "I very much desire to be divorced," and referenced the "misinformation" that the rapper, 44, has been spreading via his social media platforms.

"I have asked Kanye to keep our divorce private, but he has not done so," Kardashian wrote, per Billboard. "Kanye has been putting a lot of misinformation regarding our private family matters and co-parenting on social media which has created emotional distress."

"I believe that the Court terminating our marital status will help Kanye to accept that our marital relationship is over and to move forward on a better path which will assist us in peacefully co-parenting our children," Kardashian added.

Despite her request for divorce, West has continuously attempted to publicly reconcile with his estranged wife. In recent weeks, the rapper has also taken to social media to discuss the divorce and slam Kardashian's current boyfriend Pete Davidson.

West has made all his digs on Instagram. The posts - who have now been deleted - included screenshots of texts he'd received from both Kardashian and Davidson, and memes that he captioned with harassing messages about the pair.

The rapper previously shared texts he'd received from Kardashian, which said West was "creating a dangerous and scary environment and someone will hurt Pete and this will be all your fault," later saying: "There are dangerous people out there and this is scary and it doesn't have to be."

The 'Stronger' hitmaker replied to his estranged wife via text: "I will always do everything to protect you and our family forever. And I listened to you and told everyone to make sure nothing physical happens to Skete."

"Cause I got a text from my favorite person in the world," he added. "I'm your number one fan ... Why wouldn't I tell everyone!!!!"

In his attack on Davidson, West called the SNL comedian a "d***head" and shared a screengrab of his private text to him.

The comedian had texted the rapper: "...you as a man I'd never get in the way of your children. That's a promise. How you guys go about raising your kids is your business and not mine. I do hope [some] day I can meet them and we can all be friends."

West shared a pantsless snap of Davidson with his friend Machine Gun Kelly captioned: "No you will never meet my children."

It comes after West sent Kardashian a truckload full of red roses on Valentine's Day - despite her very much being in a relationship with Davidson.
