Lady Gaga and Michael Polansky's baby name has been revealed after the pair became parents for the first time.
The singer, 40, and her fiancé, 42, were photographed walking in Los Angeles with a newborn baby after she maintained a low profile for most of the year.
In the photos, obtained by Page Six, Gaga can be seen wearing loose white trousers and an oversized coat, as well as sunglasses, as she cradled the baby with one arm around the sling.
Though Gaga and Polansky have not addressed the news publicly as yet, their baby's name has been revealed.
According to the birth certificate obtained by TMZ, the couple have had a baby girl and named their little bundle of joy Rose Bean Polansky.
The document also states that the baby was born on June 9 at 11:19 PM at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.
The name appears to have a sweet personal connection to Gaga, whose real name is Stefani Germanotta, as Rose is the middle name of her late maternal grandmother, Veronica Rose ‘Ronnie’ Ferrie Bissett.
Gaga also has the words 'La Vie En Rose' tattooed along her spine in tribute to the iconic French song by Édith Piaf which she performed in the movie A Star Is Born.
TMZ also speculated that 'Bean' could have been inspired by the singer and activist Carl Bean, who was part of the inspiration for her hit song 'Born This Way'.
The couple's happy news comes after Gaga took an unusually long hiatus from public view following the end of her Mayhem Ball tour in April.
She and Polansky were then photographed on a walk together with their new baby last week.
The couple, who have been together since 2019 after first meeting at a birthday party for tech entrepreneur Sean Parker, got engaged in April 2024.
Gaga has often spoken about her desire to become a mother, saying on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert in October: "I would like to do many things, yeah, all of these things. But what I really want is to be a mom. That’s my next starring role, I hope."
She also described her fiancé as her "best friend in the whole world", adding: "He empowered me as a woman in music with a beautiful partner that has my back every day. He just blew me away from the minute that I met him."
The Grammy winner told the New York Times in March 2025: "I’m excited to be a mom. I used to have a lot of apprehension about it.
"The thing that’s the most important to me is to not force my children to live a life that they are not choosing. So the more that we can give them space to discover who they are on their own, that’s the thing that I believe in the most."
She admitted that she struggled with the thought of motherhood while in a career that has revolved around her for decades, explaining: "I’m also kind of at war with myself sometimes as I get ready to, hopefully, become a mom soon.
"Like, today is wonderful, but the whole day has revolved around me. There’s an incredible amount of narcissism in this."
She also told Rolling Stone last year: "What I want most is to be a mother and I am sure that he will also be a great father. We are so excited about this."
A source told Page Six that Gaga and Polansky have enjoyed a slower pace of life in recent months as the prioritized quality time together.
The insider claimed: "She hasn’t really gotten to have a private life since she was like 22 … she’s been laying low since the tour ended.
"They have an amazing biodome of love. Seems like a really safe place for her."
