Leonardo DiCaprio has had a pretty exciting life, both on- and off-screen. During his career, he's been a Wall St. banker, a president, a king, a bear attack survivor, and one of the two most famous star-crossed lovers of all time: Romeo. But the role that most of us remember him for has to be Jack Dawson in Titanic.
It seems like only yesterday that the babyfaced Leo made a name for himself in the romantic historical drama, but, as of 2019, the iconic film will turn 22 years old. And that isn't the only thing in the actor's life that's turning (cue the Taylor Swift song) twenty twooo.
Believe it or not, DiCaprio's current beau, model Camila Morrone, is also going to be celebrating her 22nd birthday this year.
Recent snaps from the model's Instagram show her enjoying herself in Thailand - a trip she went on with DiCaprio, who is 23 years her senior. Though Leo himself wasn't featured in any of the pictures, Morrone documented some of the activities they got up to while on the trip, including a day spent at an elephant sanctuary.
"Today we spent the day at a sanctuary for rescued and rehabilitated elephants (that were privately owned for logging or entertainment purposes)," she wrote. "The sweet Thai men and women that work there spend their days feeding, bathing, and nursing these elephants back to health and happiness (elephants are very emotional and susceptible to trauma). If you ever have the opportunity to visit this sanctuary in Thailand, I highly recommend."
There are actually very few snaps of the two together, but this sweet moment of Morrone adjusting DiCaprio's collar was caught in November last year as the couple enjoyed a football match:
This is not the first time that Leo has dated a model, either. In fact, he seems to have quite a thing for them.
In the past, he's had relationships with Gisele Bündchen, Bar Refaeli, and Toni Garrn. Morrone, however, is the youngest woman he's dated so far.
When he's been asked about the sorts of qualities he looks for in a woman, though, "being employed as a model" doesn't come up. Instead, DiCaprio said he is attracted to "humility, a good sense of humour, and not a lot of drama". And, when asked whether he would ever get married, the actor said: "I mean, the truth is, it's gonna happen when it's gonna happen. And, you know, I'm just gonna let it happen naturally."
So, could this be the one for Leo? The two have only been dating for a matter of months, but their holiday together seemed like a pretty big step to take. Then again, she is only 21 years old - meanwhile, DiCaprio is nearing his mid-forties. But, if their love is anything like Jack and Rose's in Titanic, it seems only fitting that their hearts will go on.
