Since her years of teenage fame, Lindsay Lohan has been involved in controversy after controversy. From putting on strange accents while living in the Middle East to sharing her support for Harvey Weinstein, the 32-year-old actress appears not to be afraid of letting her unconventional opinions be known.

Just now, Lohan has sparked outrage over an Instagram Live video she posted while in Moscow, where she follows what looks to be a refugee family through the streets trying to offer the children a place to sleep.

Lohan has recently been spending more time in Europe, opening her beach bar in Mykonos (where she exhibited dance moves bizarre enough to spark an internet challenge) which was announced to be the location for her new reality TV show. It was there that she gave an interview where she made harmful remarks about the #MeToo movement, and there that she yelled at employees about their shoes.

But in the past week, Lohan has flown across the continent to make a rare appearance at a fashion show in London, before flying to Russia for a day.

Earlier on Friday, Lohan uploaded a selfie to her Instagram stories with the caption "Moscow 4 the Day".

Later that evening, she posted a live stream of her getting out of a car and interacting with a family that was sitting on the street under a blanket.

"Hey everyone, I just want to show you a family that I met," she said. "A Syrian refugee family that I’m really worried about. They really need help."

After approaching them while filming it all live on her phone, Lohan offers to pay for a hotel room for them for the night. However good her intentions were, things escalated as it appeared that the family did not want Lohan's help.

"You want to come with me? Come with me, I’ll take care of you guys," she said in English, occasionally switching to Arabic. It seemed the family could not understand what she was saying.

The situation escalated when Lohan targeted the mother in trying to convince her to let her sons go with Lohan to her car.

"You should not have them [your sons] on the floor, you should be a hard-working woman and you should be doing what you [can] for your children, so they have a better life," she can be heard saying.

"If someone is offering them a home and a bed, which is me at the moment, give it to them. They will come back to you."

Eventually, the family of four got up and walked away, prompting Lohan to follow them and continuously repeat her offer. At one point, Lohan accuses the mother of trafficking the children:

"Look what’s happening, they’re trafficking children [...] You’re ruining Arabic culture by doing this.

"I won’t leave until I take you. Now I know who you are. Don’t f**k with me."

Lohan's increasingly aggressive speech lead the mother to punch Lohan in the face, finally convincing her to stop stalking the family. After streaming the entire altercation to Instagram, people condemned the actress.
