In her latest book titled 'From Here to the Great Unknown', which was officially released on Tuesday (October 8), the late star, who died last year at the age of 54, opened up about different moments in her life including some of her most high-profile relationships.
Being the only child of Elvis and Priscilla Presley meant that she had already experienced an intense level of fame from a young age, but she was thrust directly into the spotlight when she started dating Jackson back in 1994.
The pair met while Presley was still in a relationship with her ex-husband Danny Keough, but ended things with him when the 'Beat It' singer confessed his undying love for her during a trip to Las Vegas.

"Michael said: 'I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but I’m completely in love with you. I want us to get married and for you to have my children,'" Presley wrote in her book. “I didn’t say anything immediately, but then I said: ‘I’m really flattered, I can’t even talk.’ By then, I felt I was in love with him too."
After taking some time time to think about it, Presley divorced her husband in what was described as an "amicable split", and then started dating Jackson.
Later on, Presley delved into the intimate details of their relationship, with the star revealing that the musician told her he was a "virgin".
At the time he would have been 35 years old.
"He told me he was still a virgin," Presley wrote in the tell-all. "I think he had kissed Tatum O'Neal, and he'd had a thing with Brooke Shields, which hadn't been physical apart from a kiss. He said Madonna had tried to hook up with him once, too, but nothing happened.
"I was terrified because I didn't want to make the wrong move," she added.

Things clearly got serious between the couple in a short space of time as they ended up tying the knot just weeks after her divorce from Keough had been finalized.
While the pair made it work for two years, they ended up calling it quits in August 1996.

Jackson later died of a cardiac arrest in 2009. Presley died in 2023 from a small bowel obstruction which was a long-term complication from bariatric surgery she underwent years ago.
Prior to the release of her memoir, Presley's daughter Riley Keough - who helped finish the book in the wake of her mom's death - opened up to PEOPLE about why she wanted to go through with it.
“I hope that in an extraordinary circumstance, people relate to a very human experience of love, heartbreak, loss, addiction, and family,” she told the outlet. “[My mom] wanted to write a book in the hopes that someone could read her story and relate to her, to know that they’re not alone in the world.
"Her hope with this book was just human connection. So that’s mine," she added.
