A young boy has received an outpouring of support on social media after his sister recorded him calling out his friend's homophobic comments while gaming.

In two videos shared to TikTok by user @bummblebeeduo__, the 12-year-old can be seen playing his video game while talking to somebody else on his headset.

The first video was captioned: "I'm glad he's starting to learn from my civil rights rants."

In the clip, he can be heard asking the person on the other end: "So, you just blatantly admit to being homophobic?" After a pause, the boy then says: "You know that this means that I automatically don’t like you? Because that’s really f***ed up?"

Towards the end of the first video, he asks his friends to clarify if they're joking, informing them that his sister is gay.

In the second video, the youngster can be heard having to clarify what the LGBTQ acronym stands for, before informing his friend: "If you're trans that doesn't mean you're still gay!"

After seemingly getting into a discussion about trans individuals, the boy tells his friend: "Maybe they don't want to be a woman or a male - it's their decision. What's the matter with that?"

The two videos have amassed a combined 1.1 million views as of this writing, with many people taking to the comments sections to heap praise on the youngster for his comments.

"My son is 12. I wish he could find kids like him to play online with," one TikTok parent said.

Another added: "My guy, you are amazing! The way you automatically stood up for not only your sister, [but] for myself and [EVERYONE]".

A third wrote: "Omg he sounds more intelligent than more adults these days".

"We must protect this child at all costs. he is the hope of the next generation," another TikTok user added.

Elsewhere in the comments, people were asking his sister to share his Amazon Wishlist so that they could reward the youngster with gifts.

Good on this little guy, for not only standing up for his big sister, but for the whole LGBTQ+ community!

Britney Spears has caused concern over a recent Instagram video, in which she is seen dunking her face in a cake during her birthday week earlier this month.

The singer - who recently turned 41 on December 2 - sported a bright red Christmas jumpsuit in the festive video.

The short clip sees her drink what appears to be champagne, gyrate on the floor, do her signature hair flip dance move, and hold up her middle finger to the haters. At the end of the video, she dunks her face in birthday cake, rubbing the icing down her front as she poses for the camera.

Eartha Kitt's 'Santa Baby' song plays in the background of the video, which has since been deleted from Spears' social media. The week of her birthday also saw her Instagram account deactivated, which she claims to have accidentally done herself, having inadvertently pressed "the wrong button," TMZ detailed.

Several fans took to social media after viewing the video, with one person writing: "Gotta admit this video did kinda creep me out."

"Poor girl. So talented, so much to give. This is painful to watch," another user added.

Though, not everyone considered the video to be peculiar, with many netizens chiming in that Spears is allowed to live her life as she pleases following the termination of her 13-year conservatorship in 2021.

"She owes the world nothing. She doesn't have to 'give' anyone anything, regardless of her talents. She's given enough. She can live however she wants now," someone tweeted.

"People cannot understand someone who truly does not care anymore what her image is or what people think of her. She's having fun and letting loose and it's not a esthetically pleasing it's messy and fun. We don't ever show our true sides just the filtered ones [sic]," another person added.

Spears' unconventional behavior has taken the spotlight across social media platforms - predominantly Instagram - following the end of her traumatic conservatorship last year.

Her father Jamie and attorney Andrew Wallett became her legal conservators following concerns over her mental welfare in 2008 - effectively ruling her life through controlling both her financial and career choices, as well as major personal matters.

The conservatorship saw Spears' ability to remarry and even visitation rights to her two sons controlled and managed.

In June 2021, five months before her conservatorship was legally terminated, she told a court via BBC: "I want to be able to get married and have a baby. I was told right now in the conservatorship I am not able to get married and have a baby."

The 'Toxic' singer even added that she wasn't allowed to remove her IUD, and was therefore unable to start a family with her longtime partner Sam Asghari.

Following the end of her conservatorship, Spears has openly spoken about her experiences and has regularly taken to social media to spread messages of positivity.

Jennifer Lopez has faced some ridicule from her followers after they accused her of having edited a photo she shared for Christmas.

The singer and actress, 56, took to Instagram to give her followers a glimpse into her Christmas celebrations with her family.

She shared a post captioned: "Merry Christmas one and all" as she posed in front of a mirror in a stunning red gown.

The video then showed her stunning home, adorned with a Christmas tree and festive garlands, as her friends and loved ones arrived for dinner at a beautifully decorated table.

However, some fans were a little distracted by one detail in the video - the cover image which showed Jennifer's iPhone appeared to be curved, suggesting she'd given the image a little tweak.

Fans commented: "Why’s the phone curved???", and: "Crooked a** phone lmao".

Another commented: "Your phone bending space time okay queen," while someone else posted: "Why is your iPhone doing Bend It Like Beckham?"

One wrote: "No hate but your iPhone is crooked which means you used some filter that you don’t really need. Aging is cool when you don’t care who thinks aging is uncool. Merry Christmas."

While the warped iPhone may have stolen some of the focus, many people were simply blown away by how incredible Jennifer looked in the snap, filter or no filter.

They wrote: "You truly get more and more stunning! Merry Christmas queen," and: "Beauty, elegance, and Christmas magic all in one."

Others added: "Forever iconic, Merry Christmas, Queen," "YOU LOOK AMAZING JENN," and: "I've always loved her hair darker! She is stunning."

On Christmas Eve, Jennifer had rocked a more low-key outfit as she donned matching red and white striped pyjamas with the rest of her family.

Jennifer posed in front of her impressive Christmas tree bedecked with baubles, as well as sitting on an enormous sofa surrounded by her loved ones, captioning the series of photos: "‘Twas the night…"

It looks like she and her family had a wonderful time!

Actors use social media to give their followers a window into their personal life (and blatantly promote all their projects). We're able to connect with them - sometimes directly - and get a better sense of their personality. But lately this experience has been getting ruined by trolls.

Last week Star Wars star Kelly Marie Tran deleted all of her Instagram posts. The actress played Rose in The Last Jedi, and is the first woman of color to get a lead role in a Star Wars movie. However, sexist, racist trolls harassed her for months, posting cruel comments about her appearance and ethnicity.

Tran's not the first Star Wars star to face a nasty backlash on social media. In 2016, Daisy Ridley, who plays Rey, deleted her Instagram account. After posting a message of support of victims of gun violence, the trolls came out in droves.

Now Millie Bobby Brown, who plays Eleven in Stranger Things, has become a victim of online abuse. As reported by Variety, Twitter users turned Brown into a homophobic meme. They took photos of the actress, who is 14 years old, and added violent, homophobic statements, full of offensive slurs.

It is not clear how the meme originated. Brown has been an outspoken supporter for GLAAD and LGBTQ rights, so maybe it was created by edgelords out of irony? Some people claim it was actually started by LGBTQ Twitter users as an inside "joke." The "joke" being putting vile quotes over her innocent image? Either way, the meme quickly spun out of control. And considering Millie's age - again, 14 years old - the whole thing was wildly inappropriate.

Now Millie Bobby Brown has deleted her main Twitter account. Her secondary account, @Milliestopshate, created to share positivity and stop bullying, is still active. Also, her Instagram account is still active. So, if you want to see more adorable stories about Millie and her boyfriend, YouTuber Jacob Sartorus, you'll have to venture over there. But it just won't be the same.

So, a bunch of adults bullied a kid off Twitter today. That's not cool. I mean, I'm sure Millie will be fine. On Stranger Things, she plays a telekinetic monster-slaying badass. On talk shows, she raps Nicki Minaj verses verbatim. On Instagram, she trolled Drake, referring to him as her "security." She's got stuff to do and demogorgons to kill.

Maybe The Last Jedi director Rian Johnson put it best. Regarding the Kelly Marie Tran story, he tweeted, "On social media a few unhealthy people can cast a big shadow on the wall. But over the past 4 years I’ve met lots of real fellow SW fans. We like & dislike stuff but we do it with humor, love & respect. We’re the VAST majority, we’re having fun & doing just fine."

It's unfortunate that a few unhealthy people can cast such big shadows. Maybe Millie will return to Twitter after this all blows over.

The internet is an amazing place for people who want to interact with their favourite celebrities. Sending out a heartfelt 'thank you' or sharing a special moment with them is as simple as composing a tweet or replying to an Instagram post. Unfortunately, trolling those same celebrities is just as easy, and it happens all too often.

If you're going to try to challenge a celebrity online, though, P!nk is not the one to mess with.

The What About Us musician posted a sweet family photo on Instagram yesterday, showing herself enjoying a meal with her husband, Carey Hart, and two children, Willow Sage and Jameson Moon. She captioned it: "At least twice a week on tour, we shut the door to the outside world and have family dinner. As you can see, it makes Jameson feel deep, deep joy. #lastedsevenminutes #gratitude #space#conversation #loosescrews".

To most people, P!nk's choice to share the moment was a heartwarming one. Others, however, didn't quite see the sweeter side of it, and called her out for supposedly contradicting herself.

"Except it's posted on ig," wrote @megablack92.

"'We shut our door to the outside world' ...BUT BUT... I post to IG and contradict myself," added user, @yuni_muni314.

"I love you pink, but the guy as a point, if it was a private dinner how come someone was there to take a photo," concurred @adetuttu.

But the singer wasn't going to just sit there and take such negativity - so she hit back.

"Yes, I like to promote healthy stuff," she wrote in response to @megablack92. "I also like to remind people to stop being TOTAL DOUCHE BAGS TOO. Consider this your reminder, f**ko."

And others jumped to her defence.

"I love it when families eat dinner together," said user, @dacuster1. "You and your husband are amazing parents. I loved it when you introduced Willow at your Jacksonville concert when you introduced your band. I was hoping you would sing the song with her singing with you at the end. Thank you for an amazing concert."

"Gawd people say stupid things to u!" added @traci9554. "Ugh , how do u handle the comments !???. I like ur pics and thanks for sharing your private moments! We love u pink [sic]."

In a weird twist, the user who initially called her out then went on to say that they were actually a fan.

"Well damn, I was coming to see ya Sunday night in Nashville... still love the music," they said.

But that didn't change a thing.

"That doesn't change my answer," she said. "That just makes you confused."

This, of course, is not the first time that the singer has fought back against trolls who criticise her lifestyle, either. Back in 2017, she revealed that she was going to raise her children without gender norms - and that, too, caused a bit of fuss online.

Judging by the photograph, though, the whole family seem to be very happy with one another, and that matters more than any Instagram post or annoying comment. Grade A parenting, P!nk! Keep it up!
