A young boy has received an outpouring of support on social media after his sister recorded him calling out his friend's homophobic comments while gaming.
In two videos shared to TikTok by user @bummblebeeduo__, the 12-year-old can be seen playing his video game while talking to somebody else on his headset.
The first video was captioned: "I'm glad he's starting to learn from my civil rights rants."
In the clip, he can be heard asking the person on the other end: "So, you just blatantly admit to being homophobic?" After a pause, the boy then says: "You know that this means that I automatically don’t like you? Because that’s really f***ed up?"
Towards the end of the first video, he asks his friends to clarify if they're joking, informing them that his sister is gay.
In the second video, the youngster can be heard having to clarify what the LGBTQ acronym stands for, before informing his friend: "If you're trans that doesn't mean you're still gay!"
After seemingly getting into a discussion about trans individuals, the boy tells his friend: "Maybe they don't want to be a woman or a male - it's their decision. What's the matter with that?"
The two videos have amassed a combined 1.1 million views as of this writing, with many people taking to the comments sections to heap praise on the youngster for his comments.
"My son is 12. I wish he could find kids like him to play online with," one TikTok parent said.
Another added: "My guy, you are amazing! The way you automatically stood up for not only your sister, [but] for myself and [EVERYONE]".
A third wrote: "Omg he sounds more intelligent than more adults these days".
"We must protect this child at all costs. he is the hope of the next generation," another TikTok user added.
Elsewhere in the comments, people were asking his sister to share his Amazon Wishlist so that they could reward the youngster with gifts.
Good on this little guy, for not only standing up for his big sister, but for the whole LGBTQ+ community!

A teenager has been praised for how she handled a man persistently intruding on her personal space.
The 18-year-old - who uses the handle @maassassin_ on TikTok - was in the middle of a live stream when she was approached by the man who can be heard off-camera attempting to engage in conversation with her despite her obvious hesitancy.
Following the stream, the content creator posted two videos of the alarming incident on the platform, and people are seriously creeped out by the unseen male stranger.
In the first video, which currently has 12 million views, the man can be heard interrupting @maassassin_ as she talks to her followers.
The young woman explains as part of the video text that he had pointed towards the chair and thought he was asking if he could take it. However, it then becomes clear that he actually had other intentions - he wanted to sit with her.
"Oh, I didn't mean you could sit there," the stunned TikToker tells the intruder, who responds: "I thought you said I could take this."
He then proceeds to pester the teen despite no willingness on her part to engage in conversation with him.
The man, who can be heard slurring his words, asks her how she is doing and for her name, to which she responds with a fake name.
In the next video, the ongoing encounter sees the man tell her that he "couldn't help but notice" that she was sitting on her own.
In a bid to get him to leave, @maassassin_ tells the guy that she is in the middle of a TikTok live - fortunately, he then decides to make a move.
As he leaves another male voice can be heard enquiring what the matter is, to which the intruder tells him: "I was just saying 'hey' to her".
While the second man refers to @maassassin_ as his niece - presumably in order to prevent the first man from engaging further - the TikToker reveals to her followers that he is actually a friend of hers and was watching the scene unfold from the balcony.
People have since taken to Twitter to applaud the teen and also to condemn the man for making her feel uncomfortable.
One wrote: "You handled yourself brilliantly—esp never having gone thru it b4...clearly irritated but not doing/saying anything to escalate.
"BUT THE FACT THAT YOU EVEN HAD TO MAKES MY BLOOD RUN COLD. Goddamn this man. Disgusting. I’m so sorry."
A third wrote: "The level of discomfort this poor girl is feeling makes me sad. The other day my 15-year-old daughter said 'I wish I could walk home without men calling stuff out the window to me. I just want to walk to my friends’ house and not be creeped out.'"
A male Twitter user weighed in, writing: "I'm a 6'3", 230lb man with no social anxieties that I can identify, and if this guy had sat down next to me, I'd be honestly creeped out too.
"Just the cadence and tone of his speaking would have skeeved me out. Im tellin ya, women, we don't deserve you on this planet."
In an update video, the young TikToker tells her followers that she had spoken to a staff member at the front desk of the hotel where the encounter occurred.
The staff member revealed to @maassassin_ that she knew of the man and promised to tell him to "leave people alone".
In another update, she revealed that the man looked between 25-30 and that she felt uncomfortable during the entire interaction.
The social media user assured her followers that she was away from the hotel where the encounter occurred. She also said the man who helped her stayed with her after the first man had left and made sure she was alright.
The teen then insisted that the interaction wasn't staged and that her "fear was real".

In the video - which has since gone viral, garnering 25.4K retweets at the time of writing - Steffy tells the unidentified student to "back up" before he proceeds to call him a homophobic slur. The teenager then shoves his classmate, telling him "not to f*ck with" him.
The student repeats the slur, and a fight ensues.
Speaking to Insider, Steffy said "He made an anti-gay post with a picture of me on it saying how he hated gays and a bunch of throwing up emojis all over it."
"I walked up to him and said 'Why did you post this?' He said 'It was just a post.' And I said 'Well, it's not just a post. It's a post about me, saying how you dislike who I am, and I don't appreciate that," he continued.
The teen, who claims that he has had to contend with bullies since he came out in the seventh grade, said that the classmate then tried to provoke him.

"He went on to say 'Okay, but what are you going to do about it?' I said 'I'm not going to deal with this, this is the last time I'm called anything. And then he said 'What are you going to do about it, f*ggot?' And that's when I was like 'No, I'm not doing this. I just got sick of it. It's crazy the amount of hatred I received just for liking who I like and being me."
Steffy faced disciplinary action over the incident, telling the publication that he was sent to the principal's office and ultimately suspended.
He later took to Twitter to express regret for getting physical with the bully. "If I could take it back, personally, I would," he stated. "But I'm glad I stood up for myself. If you were in my shoes, you'd probably get sick of it and you'd want to stand up for yourself."

And in a follow-up tweet posted on Monday, he wrote: "I just want to say that people out there that are bullying the kid who call me the slur, it needs to stop all bullying needs to stop regardless people calling him things is no better than what he said to me I want all the hatred and negative comments to stop. Please love All!!"

A father has been praised on social media this week for supporting his gay son during Pride month.
According to Buzzfeed, 15-year-old Caden Wyatt, who hails from just outside Tulsa in Oklahoma, came out as gay to his parents John and Janell last year.
The Wyatt family lives in a fairly conservative Christian part of the state, and John and Janell wanted to show their public support for their son during his second Pride out of the closet.
To that end, John hung an ally flag - which Caden and his mother bought at their city’s first Pride festival last spring - outside their family home in a gesture of love and support.
John then took to TikTok to share a video of the flag flying outside the Wyatt home, with Lady Gaga’s 'Born This Way' playing in the background. The proud father captioned the post:
"Happy Pride Month to y'all, especially to my son! Love you @cadenwyatt12."
His video clearly resonated with a lot of other TikTok users and has currently accrued over one million views, 406,000 reactions, and a further 17,000 comments as of the time of writing.
For example, one TikTok user wrote: "I cried. You guys are an incredibly supportive family. Your son is lucky. God bless and Happy Pride!"
Another person wrote: "THANK YOU FOR BEING A GOOD DAD FOR HIM. We all didn't have this and I can't imagine having a Dad this supportive. [sic]"
A third commenter wrote: "Your son doesn't know how lucky he is. So many [of] us wishes we had a dad like you or a dad at all. Good job! Same for the mom!"
This person chimed in: "You and your wife are freaking amazing parents!"
Finally, someone else gushed: "NOW THIS IS UNCONDITIONAL LOVE. [sic]"
Commenting on his dad's kind gesture in a later interview with Buzzfeed, Caden stated: "I’m really lucky to have such supportive parents because I know a lot of other people aren’t as lucky as me."
Meanwhile, John commented: "We’re letting people know it’s a safe place. I’m not trying to cause any controversy in the neighborhood, but maybe there’s some person out there who will see that flag and smile and feel safe."

A mom has gone viral on social media for speaking out against her teen daughter’s school over how they handled her dress code violation.
TikTok user Stasia - who goes by the handle @teachingadhdllamas on the social media platform - posted a video explaining her frustration after getting a call from her daughter’s school while she was at work.
The school administrator informed Stasia over the phone that her daughter was opposing the school’s dress code policy and allegedly said "f*** the dress code" to the teacher who criticized her.
"F*** the dress codes," Stasia agreed in the TikTok’s caption. "Shoulders, midriffs, and legs aren’t the problem. Talk to the boys/men who claim it’s distracting."
Check out her TikTok below:After posting the video on the social media platform, users loved Stasia's support for her daughter and quickly flooded her comment section with praise.
One person said: "Would have immediately requested her autograph, cuz that girl is going places."
While another added: "I hate this too. I have extra shirts in case my students get dress-coded. SENDING THEM HOME IS MORE OF A DISRUPTION JUDY."
A third commended Stasia's daughter: "Now this is the kind of daughter I’m trying to raise! Way to go."
However, not everybody agreed with the doting mom.
One TikTok user commented: "Dress codes in schools are more lenient than any workplace. It’s not that hard to follow them."
In a follow-up video, the mother shared an update with her audience and said her daughter organized a protest against the school’s dress code policy.
"Today, she’s organized a white tank top-wearing day, so they’re all wearing white tank tops with messages on them," she said in the TikTok video. "My 19-year-old son helped her make hers last night, which reads on the front of it, ‘Do my shoulders distract you because you’re reading the front of my shirt?’"
The mom added that she’s sure she will receive multiple phone calls about the protest from the school’s administration but said her children knew "this was coming".
"My children have stood up against racist teachers, my children have stood up with other children [who] were deadnamed by ignorant teachers, my daughter refused to take straight sex education as a non-straight student," Stasia added.
Stasia's video sparks a conversation around whether school dress codes are discriminative or sexist. Per Yahoo, Education Week wrote in a 2018 piece that for decades, schools have discussed that dress codes help "prevent in-class distractions", create a "workplace-like environment", and reduce "socioeconomic pressures" on students.
Additionally, The Atlantic reported back in 2015 that with the mass use of social media and the increase in student activism alongside the #MeToo movement, students feel more motivated to protest against school dress codes.
Do you guys agree with Stasia's video? Let us know in the comments section.
