Meghan Markle has made a return to acting as she has been spotted playing an intern in a commercial, but her appearance has split opinions.

Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, took on the role of a busy, bumbling intern in an advertisement for Clevr Blends, the coffee company in which she is an investor.

The clip showcases Markle handing out cups of coffee, taking phone calls, fist-bumping colleagues, and diligently typing away at a computer.

Royal enthusiasts flocked to social media, with one fan expressing: "A+ marketing from #clevrblends. Love to see Meg having fun in front of the camera again. I’ve missed her on my screen." Another chimed in, highlighting Meghan's loyalty, stating: "She was the brand's first investor, and she is sticking with them… That’s how loyal #MeghanMarkle is. Love to hear her smile, by the way."

Not all viewers were impressed with Markle's return to acting, howeverm as one skeptic remarked: "Hahaha! This video is so contrived. Looks more like a project straight out of middle school."

Another Royal Family supporter account said: "OH. MY. GOSH!! Meghan Markle truly has no shame, faking working at a company she’s invested in during the last bit of holiday rush! No doubt hoping her 'presence' in this desperate video makes the company more money to pad her pocket. This is NOT royal behavior!"

Meghan took a step back from her glitzy acting career in 2017 when she got engaged to Prince Harry. Despite the couple's departure from the Royal Family three years ago, Markle has not fully returned to her former profession.

Earlier this year, Prince Harry released his memoir in which he admitted to watching Markle's intimate scenes on television.

Excerpts from the book disclose that Prince Harry made the "mistake" of perusing Markle's acting work during the initial stages of their relationship. The couple's journey began in 2016 when they were introduced by a mutual friend, and at the time, Markle was still starring in the legal TV drama Suits.

The show, spanning nine seasons, concluded in 2019, portraying the story of college dropout Mike Ross ascending the ranks in a New York City law firm while trying to conceal his lack of qualifications. Markle played the role of Rachel Zane, Mike's love interest.

In his memoir, Prince Harry candidly recounts feeling uncomfortable after researching Markle's love scenes during the early stages of their romance, jesting that he needed "electric shock therapy" to erase the images from his mind.

He wrote: "I'd witnessed her and a castmate mauling each other in some sort of office or conference room. I didn't need to see such things live."
