Following the tragic death of actor Michael K Williams, one of his final messages to fans has become even more poignant.

As reported by BBC News, The Wire star was found dead at his New York apartment on Monday afternoon. He was 54 years old.

Law enforcement sources reportedly told the New York Post that the actor was found dead alongside drug paraphernalia. A police source also told the publication that "no foul play" has been indicated in the star's death.

On Wednesday, less than a week prior to his death, Williams posted a cryptic video to his Instagram page.

The video shows comedian Tracy Morgan delivering a powerful speech following a 2014 car accident that nearly killed him.

In his speech, Morgan states: "Don't cry for me. Okay, I had a misfortunate accident - don't cry for me! Cry for others, man.

"My grandmother told me when you think you're doing bad, there's always somebody out there worse. There's people out there in the world with nobody to love and nobody to love them. How about that?

"What is happiness? What is happiness? What is happiness? Whatever you think it is, you're wrong - it's simpler than that. It's way simpler than that. You know what true happiness is? Having something to look forward to."

Tagging Morgan in the post, Williams captioned the video: "I love u brother!!!"

Per The Mirror, Morgan was in a limousine that was struck by a truck, killing fellow comedian James McNair. Morgan was left critically injured and spent two weeks in a coma following the incident.

Williams' final post has since been viewed over 1.3 million times, and the comments section has been flooded with tributes following the tragic news:
