A Los Angeles nightclub has taken cheeky digs at Taylor Swift's ex-boyfriends after she re-released her iconic Red album last week???..

Though the pop star never officially confirmed who her 2012 break-up album was about, many fans have speculated that it references her whirlwind relationship with Hollywood actor Jake Gyllenhaal.

These rumors resurfaced last week, when Swift re-released the album with additional verses that seem to point very explicitly towards her relationship with Gyllenhaal.

And one nightclub - The Vermont Hollywood in Los Angeles - took speculation to the next level at their Taylor Swift-themed night celebrating the new version of the album.

In one clip from the night, which has since gone viral on social media, a mashup of Jake Gyllenhaal crying in different movies is projected on a big screen while Swift's legendary ballad 'We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together' plays.

The video has been viewed over 10 million times on TikTok since it was posted two days ago, and amassed over 26,000 comments. For many, the nightclub's dig at Gyllenhaal took things "too far", especially since Swift and Gyllenhaal only dated for a few months back in 2010.

"This was so unnecessary and shouldn't be anyone's business except Taylor's and Jake's but the world wanna butt in," one viewer wrote.

"This negativity towards Jake adds NOTHING to Taylor's legacy," added another.

"They literally [dated] for three months ELEVEN YEARS AGO," commented a third.

The Vermont Hollywood isn't alone in making sly digs at Gyllenhaal. Since Red was re-released, the actor has been trending on Twitter thanks to new lyrics which confirm fan suspicions that the album was about his and Swift's relationship.

"Jake Gyllenhaal turn of your phone for the weekend," one Twitter user tweeted.

In particular, the re-released version of the heartbreak ballad 'All Too Well' alludes to Swift feeling alone on her 21st birthday, which fits with the Swift-Gyllenhaal dating timeline.

New lyrics also include the lines: "I'll get older, but your lovers stay my age." Gyllenhaal, 40, is currently dating 25-year-old model Jeanne Cadieu.

Meanwhile, Gyllenhaal wasn't the only one of Swift's ex's to get teased by The Vermont Hollywood. Videos of Harry Styles, who also dated the singer, played on the big screen while Swift's 'Style' blared out of the speakers.

Styles and Swift dated in 2012 and many fans speculate that the song - which was released on her fifth studio album 1989 - is about the former One Direction member.
