The latest trend in Hollywood is lightning-fast engagements, soon to be followed by lightning-fast divorces and lightning-fast drunk dials begging for another chance. First there was Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson; then there was Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin; now, there's Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra. Celebrities are more obsessed with getting rings than Lord Sauron in the Third Age Of Middle-Earth! (And references like that are why I am not engaged.)

But the best part about celebrity engagements? Interviewing their exes to see if they'll have an emotional meltdown. Before Nick got engaged to Priyanka, he dated Olivia Culpo, a model and former Miss USA contestant. She won the 2012 Miss Rhode Island competition, which couldn't have been too difficult, since that state has a population of like four people. But still, congrats.

Nick and Olivia were first seen together at the 2013 US Open. In 2015, they broke up. It was a real fairy tale. When Extra's Mario Lopez asked Nick about the split, he somehow refrained from making Saved By The Bell jokes, and opened up, "[Olivia's] an amazing person. We had a great, beautiful few years together, but it’s been a crazy couple months, and I wish the best to her for the future, but it’s tough."

In July 2018, Nick and Priyanka got engaged after just two months of dating. The Bollywood star brought her bae to Mumbai, India, so he could meet the family in a traditional roka ceremony. They dressed up in traditional garb, looked longingly into each other's eyes, and posted romantic photos on Instagram that will either make you swoon or barf.

But one thing's for sure: Nick impressed his mother-in-law. "Nick is calm and mature," Madhu Chopra raved to DNA India. "He’s a wonderful person and everyone in the family just loves him. He’s so polite and respectful towards elders. What more can a mother want!" Personally, I think she was just thrilled Priyanka didn't get engaged to Justin Bieber.

On People Now, Olivia shared her thoughts on Nick and Priyanka's engagement:  "I think that any time anybody can find love, especially in this industry, because it's difficult, you can see there's a track record of things not working out, so I'm so happy for him. I wish that everybody can find love and happiness. That does not mean that I would not wish that for him."

Well, I'm glad that doesn't not mean that she wouldn't not wish that for him. Pretty disappointing she didn't have an emotional meltdown on camera - maybe she's saving it for their wedding day. Currently Olivia is dating Danny Amendola, a Miami Dolphins wide receiver. He finished last season with finished with 61 catches for 659 yards and two touchdowns. But if you ask me, his greatest "catch"...WAS OLIVIA! Just kidding, it was definitely the two touchdown catches. But she's a solid number three.
