There are some things that only Oprah Winfrey can get away with. Being an American media proprietor, talk show host, producer, actress and philanthropist is just one of them. And to have her talk show, The Oprah Winfrey Show, be the highest-rated television program of its kind is another. Oh, and she's also North America's first multi-billionaire black person, and several assessments have ranked her as the most influential woman in the world. It makes sense then that only Oprah could get away with blanking one of the biggest stars in Hollywood.

Appearing on Thursday's episode of The Ellen DeGeneres show, veritable Queen of the Universe, Oprah Winfrey waxed lyrical about Ellen's star-studded 60th birthday bash, saying that she "can't remember in my life having that much fun." The party was apparently attended by the entire celebrity circuit, including Reese Witherspoon, Drew Barrymore, Bruno Mars, Kim Kardashian, Kanye West, Chrissy Teigen and John Legend. Leonardo DiCaprio was also there, but Oprah didn't notice until it was too late...

As the 64-year-old explained to Ellen, when celebrities featured on The Oprah Winfrey Show "they looked like themselves… at your party, they’re all disguised."

Thankfully, The Weeknd's Instagram cleared up that Leo's "disguise" was a basketball cap.

Despite having interviewed the Wolf of Wall Street actor several times before, Oprah had some trouble recognising the Oscar winner, so much so that it had to be cleared up by a fellow celeb.

"This guy comes back, I know it’s somebody, I know it’s somebody… Who is it? Is it Justin Timberlake? I don’t think it’s Justin Timberlake. The Weeknd says to him, “Hey man, I really loved the film you did.” He says, “No, that wasn’t a good film for me, it wasn’t my favourite film," Oprah told Ellen.

"And I go, 'What WAS your favourite film?' And he says, 'The Aviator.' And I say, 'Leonardo, you’re so funny!'"

Oprah then went on to say that she "got a lot of numbers" and has finally started making some celebrity friends. But despite the fact that we totally don't buy that last statement, she's apparently been texting a lot of famous people. We're unsure, however, if any of those texts are coming from Leo.

The talk show host also had time to respond to President Donald Trump's recent tweet, in which he critiqued her interviewing skills in a 60 Minutes segment, called her "very insecure", and dared her to run for office, just "so she can be exposed and defeated just like all of the others!"

Speaking to Ellen, Oprah raised her hands and said, "I woke up and I just thought…"

"And I don't like giving negativity power, so I just thought, 'What?' What I actually really did was I went back and looked at the tape to see if there was any place that that could be true. Did I feel like it was slanted or biased? I went back and looked at every tape; I called the producers."

Sigh. Donald Trump should know by now, no one messes with Oprah Winfrey.
