Orlando Bloom's ex-wife, the model Miranda Kerr, has taken to social media to congratulate him and Katy Perry on the birth of their daughter, Daisy Dove.
The Lord of the Rings actor shared an image of the newborn, Katy, and his hand to Instagram to reveal that his finacée had given birth.

However, the happy news was initially revealed by UNICEF, the organization that both Perry and Bloom serves as Goodwill Ambassadors for.
In a heartwarming and charitable statement, the couple announced: "We are floating with love and wonder from the safe and healthy arrival of our daughter.
"But we know we're the lucky ones and not everyone can have a birthing experience as peaceful as ours was."

The announcement continues: "Communities around the world are still experiencing a shortage of healthcare workers and every eleven seconds a pregnant woman or newborn dies, mostly from preventable causes.
"Since COVID-19, many more newborn lives are at risk because of a greater lack of access to water, soap, vaccines and medicines that prevent diseases. As parents to a newborn, this breaks our hearts, as we empathize with struggling parents now more than ever."
Kerr commented on the post, writing: "I’m so happy for you guys. Can’t wait to meet her."
The Victoria's Secret model shares nine-year-old Flynn with Bloom, who she married back in 2010. They separated three years later, in 2013.
She is also mother to sons Hart, two, and 10-month-old Myles, who she shares with her current husband, Snapchat's Evan Spiegel.

Perry and Bloom first announced their engagement back in February of 2019, and confirmed their baby news back in March of this year - with Perry cradling her bump in the music video for 'Never Worn White'.
Speaking to Mix 104.1's Karson & Kennedy back in June, Perry revealed the wave of emotions she had experienced during pregnancy, telling the presenters:
"I've been overwhelmed. I've been anxious. I've been happy. I've been overjoyed. I've been depressed. I've been all of it.
"The world is just a wild time, and it's a wild time to bring life into the world. I mean, people were already having those kind of conversations years ago where it's like, 'Man, the world feels a little uncertain.' And now, it really feels shaky boots."
