MTV held their first virtual VMA's on Sunday, which honored the visual works made by some of the biggest stars in the music world, and Katy Perry put her trademark spin on the ceremony, while showing off her post-baby body on Instagram.

Perry gave birth to her first child, daughter Daisy Dove, with her fiancée Orlando Bloom last week.

The happy news was initially revealed by UNICEF, the organization that both Perry and Bloom serves as Goodwill Ambassadors for.

In a heartwarming and charitable statement, the couple announced: "We are floating with love and wonder from the safe and healthy arrival of our daughter.

"But we know we're the lucky ones and not everyone can have a birthing experience as peaceful as ours was."

The announcement continues: "Communities around the world are still experiencing a shortage of healthcare workers and every eleven seconds a pregnant woman or newborn dies, mostly from preventable causes.

"Since COVID-19, many more newborn lives are at risk because of a greater lack of access to water, soap, vaccines and medicines that prevent diseases. As parents to a newborn, this breaks our hearts, as we empathize with struggling parents now more than ever."

Now, during the virtual awards ceremony, the 35-year-old was seen only wearing a nude nursing bra and a pair of grey high-waisted underwear as she posed in her bathroom mirror, just five days after giving birth

"Hair and makeup by: @exhaustion," Perry jokingly captioned the snap, where she can be seen preparing to pump for her newborn daughter.

Perry and Bloom first announced their engagement back in February of 2019, and confirmed their baby news back in March of this year - with Perry cradling her bump in the music video for 'Never Worn White'.

Speaking to Mix 104.1's Karson & Kennedy back in June, Perry revealed the wave of emotions she had experienced during pregnancy, telling the presenters:

"I've been overwhelmed. I've been anxious. I've been happy. I've been overjoyed. I've been depressed. I've been all of it.

"The world is just a wild time, and it's a wild time to bring life into the world. I mean, people were already having those kind of conversations years ago where it's like, 'Man, the world feels a little uncertain.' And now, it really feels shaky boots."
