Shia LaBeouf has denied "each and every" allegation made against him by ex-girlfriend FKA twigs after she accused him of "relentless abuse".
In December last year, FKA twigs, 33, filed a lawsuit against The Peanut Butter Falcon actor, 34, accusing him of sexual battery, assault and infliction of emotional distress.
The musician said in the court filing obtained by Variety that she had suffered mental and physical abuse during their nine-month relationship. She also alleged that he knowingly gave her a sexually transmitted disease, strangled her, and kept her in a constant state of fear.
"Shia LaBeouf hurts women," the lawsuit states. "He uses them. He abuses them, both physically and mentally. He is dangerous."
In response to the suit, LaBeouf’s lawyers denied all of the allegations, according to E! News.
The actor's legal team said that FKA twigs, whose real name is Tahliah Barnett, had not "suffered any injury or damage as a result of [LaBeouf’s] actions" and said that she was not entitled to any financial compensation.
It was also denied that the English singer had a claim of sexual battery because "none of the acts alleged were based on sex and/or the conduct was not sexual."
LaBeouf is asking for a judgment in his favor and that Barnett be ordered to pay his legal fees.
Earlier this week, a source confirmed to PEOPLE that LaBeouf had parted ways with his talent agency CAA and is currently being treated at an inpatient facility.
His lawyer has previously told E! News that he was planning to seek help.
"Shia needs help and he knows that," attorney Shawn Holley said in a statement in December. "We are actively seeking the kind of meaningful, intensive, long-term inpatient treatment that he desperately needs."
FKA twigs opened up to The New York Times about her allegedly abusive relationship with LaBeouf in an interview during which she recalled: "He brought me so low, below myself, that the idea of leaving him and having to work myself back up just seemed impossible."
In an initial response to FKA twig's lawsuit, LaBeouf issued a statement to The New York Times saying: "I’m not in any position to tell anyone how my behavior made them feel. I have no excuses for my alcoholism or aggression, only rationalizations. I have been abusive to myself and everyone around me for years.
"I have a history of hurting the people closest to me. I’m ashamed of that history and am sorry to those I hurt. There is nothing else I can really say."
