Owen Wilson may be one of Hollywood's most beloved actors, but a recent revelation has caused quite the stir on social media; the fact that he has a famous younger brother.
Yes, fans have been left both baffled and amused after a viral TikTok by user Jemma McCarthy (@jemmamccarthy_) was widely shared online, showing her reacting to images of Owen Wilson AND his recognizable sibling.
McCarthy captioned her video with a text overlay reading: "I was today years old when I realized this guy is Owen Wilson's brother", and the post has since been viewed 2.3 million times.
The person she referred to was none other than Luke Wilson, known for his roles in movies like Legally Blonde, Old School, and the early 2000s Charlie's Angels reboot, among many other film credits.

The TikTok community had mixed reactions. Some mirrored McCarthy's surprise, commenting: "Now I know why he looks so familiar [...] Never thought about they are brothers," and "This is brand new information." Another fan simply couldn't contain their shock, exclaiming: "I literally bursted out saying no! What [...]"
However, not all were taken aback. Several users quipped, "Girl where you been?" and "Girllll what!! [...] Everyone knows they brothers. They talk exactly the same." Another added: "You must be really young."
One user humorously shared, "How did y'all not know? Me and my friends used to call him the hot one."
Another confessed their realization came while watching Legally Blonde, "I knew because I was watching legally blonde once not paying bc attention and could've sworn i heard owen wilson's voice so i had to google [sic]."
In fact, speaking to Today back in 2022, Owen revealed that he and Luke had actually become roommates in Atlanta while working on different projects.
"It was fun," Owen said about once again living with his brother. "It all comes rushing back to you, what you love about the guy and then what can also drive you crazy."
What's more, Luke and Owen actually have ANOTHER famous brother - Andrew Wilson.
Andrew - an actor and director - has appeared in movies such as Whip It (2009), Hall Pass (2011), and Time Tramp (2017).
In fact, in a candid interview with Esquire back in 2021, Owen opened up about how big brother Andrew helped him following the Loki star's 2007 attempt to take his own life.
Owen revealed that Andrew "stayed in his house with him" following the attempt, adding that Andrew would wake up with him "each morning" and would "[write] up little schedules for each day so that life seemed at first manageable and then, at some point, a long time later, actually good.”
