An actor who's starred in several steamy sex scenes has opened up about the reality of filming them with co-stars including Megan Fox.
Sex scenes are part and parcel for many actors' careers, but often they aren't as enjoyable to film as they may appear on screen.
Michele Morrone, 35, is best known for his breakout role in 365 Days, as well as its sequel, along with Subservience, and The Housemaid.
Morrone has starred in several sexy scenes - particularly in Polish erotic thriller 365 Days - which follows his character imprisoning his lover and giving her 365 days to fall in love with him.
He also got up close and personal with Megan Fox, who played a humanoid robot his character had hired in 2024's Subservience, with the pair working with director SK Dale, who oversaw the intimate scenes between the two characters.
Morrone's character, Nick, turns to the help of an android assistant after his wife falls sick, employing Fox's character Alice to help him around the home and with looking after his daughter, however, their relationship eventually becomes sexual.
Alice goes as far as to blindfold Nick and use his wife's voice while getting intimate, before she ultimately turns violent.
Director Dale revealed that it was crucial to foster a "safe environment" during filming, telling TooFab that the two female actors would switch places while on top of Morrone, leaving his character's imagination to do the work, adding that it was "like an action sequence and storyboarded it all out."
Intimacy coordinators have also become commonplace on sets where sex scenes are being shot, however, Morrone told Metro he "did not need" one for 365 Days.
He explained: "I did not need an intimacy coordinator to help me... Of course, it’s an important person to have on set for the other actors and for people who work backstage, it helps us all, but personally, no, I don’t need anyone.
"I like to build up a character and a scene the way I imagined it in my mind and how I like to work the script."
Dale praised the work of intimacy coordinators on Subservience, adding: "What I really liked about the intimacy coordinators within the prep of it all was they would ask questions that were story driven.
"Like, 'Okay, how aggressive is this intimate scene? How, how essential is it? Is there kissing? How, if there is kissing, is it kind of pashing [Australian slang for kiss] or just pecking?"
So while that sexy scene may look natural and off-the-cuff, it turns out there's a lot more that goes into it behind the scenes than most would imagine.

Actor Michele Morrone - widely recognized for his steamy performances in Netflix’s 365 Days films - has opened up about a surprising behind-the-scenes element of filming those intense and intimate scenes.
Morrone rose to international fame with his role in 365 Days and its sequels, which drew attention for their highly explicit intimacy and criticized storyline. While the franchise often faced comparisons to the Fifty Shades movie franchise, Morrone’s bold performance carved out its own place in the genre.
Now, in the 2024 Netflix-distributed sci-fi thriller Subservience, Morrone returns in another role that involves intense sexual scenes, this time opposite Megan Fox.
The actress plays an AI-powered android hired to help around the house after the family's mother becomes ill. But the robot’s assistance soon turns sinister as she begins to manipulate and dominate her environment, including Morrone’s character.
As the relationship between the human father and android becomes sexual, one particularly disturbing scene sees the android blindfold Morrone’s character and imitate his wife’s voice during intimacy.
Directed by SK Dale (who previously worked with Fox on Till Death), Subservience required close collaboration between the actors and director, particularly when it came to filming these provocative sequences.
Dale spoke about the importance of establishing trust and safety on set, telling TooFab that maintaining a “safe environment” was crucial during the shoot.
He described the sex scenes like “an action sequence,” noting that they were carefully planned and storyboarded in advance. During filming, different actors would take turns performing on top of Morrone, reflecting the android’s shifting forms as the actor relied on his imagination to complete the illusion.
Intimacy coordinators were involved throughout production to ensure everyone’s comfort and boundaries were respected. However, Morrone shared that he prefers working without them.
Reflecting on his experience with 365 Days, he told Metro: "I did not need an intimacy coordinator to help me... Of course, it’s an important person to have on set for the other actors and for people who work backstage, it helps us all, but personally, no, I don’t need anyone."
He added: "I like to build up a character and a scene the way I imagined it in my mind and how I like to work the script."
Despite his preference, intimacy coordinators are now considered standard in Hollywood productions, and their presence on Subservience was non-negotiable.
Director Dale praised the coordinators for helping ensure scenes were story-driven rather than gratuitous: "What I really liked about the intimacy coordinators within the prep of it all was they would ask questions that were story driven."
He continued: "Like, 'Okay, how aggressive is this intimate scene? How essential is it? Is there kissing? If there is kissing, is it kind of pashing or just pecking?'"
While Morrone previously confirmed that prosthetics were used in 365 Days, it remains unclear how intimate scenes were handled in Subservience from a technical standpoint.
Michele Morrone has responded to rumors that he is now dating Megan Fox after her sudden split from Machine Gun Kelly.
Earlier this week, it was confirmed that the actress and rapper have reportedly split despite Fox being pregnant with the couple's first baby, her fourth child overall.
The 38-year-old, who is believed to be approximately four to five months pregnant, shared the joyous news of her pregnancy on November 11.
Taking to Instagram, the Jennifer's Body star shared a stunning photo from a photo shoot, showing her posing nude with black paint on her body while proudly cradling her growing bump.
She captioned the post: "Nothing is ever really lost. Welcome back."
However, things allegedly took a turn for the worse just two weeks later after multiple news outlets confirmed that the pair had decided to split.
The decision to go their separate ways reportedly occurred over the Thanksgiving period after Fox discovered "upsetting" material on Kelly's phone during their trip to Vail, Colorado. She subsequently left the trip early and reports say they've not seen each other since.
A source close to Fox told PEOPLE that the actress was "blindsided" by the sudden turn of events, adding: "She's been distraught."
They also stated that the star is "trying to focus on" preparing for the baby on the way.
"It's her priority," they added.
In the wake of the sudden news, a viral video of Fox and her co-star from her latest movie, Subservience, has been circulating online, with many speculating whether or not Michele Morrone was the reason behind the couple's split.
In a clip from the joint interview posted to X earlier this month, the Transformers star was seen resting her arm on Morrone's shoulder while she corrected him on the pronunciation of "SpongeBob."
In response, he smiled back at Fox before purposefully getting her instruction wrong again.
After seeing the clip, many fans were blown away by the chemistry between the two.
However, Morrone wants no part of the drama and has set the record straight.
"Any accusations beyond a work friendship are simply untrue," a rep for the 365 Days told E! News on December 10. "They filmed a movie together a year ago. Michele is currently in Italy filming another project."
Neither Fox nor MGK have spoken out about their breakup as of yet.
An adult film actress has opened up on her decision to no longer shoot content with any men - and the reason behind it may come as a surprise.
In a candid revelation, seasoned adult film actress Julia Ann, who began her journey in the industry in 1992, disclosed why she now exclusively performs in scenes featuring female co-stars.
She made the revelation on the Holly Randall Unfiltered podcast, discussing intricate layers of the adult film industry.
The 56-year-old made the decision to stop shooting with men just after getting married to her husband - who isn't in the industry - but says that wasn't what led to her making that choice.
She said: "He knew who I was, he knew the whole thing," adding that her husband is not the "jealous type".
Julia revealed that her choice was closely intertwined with her body's natural aging process and her reluctance to frequent the gym.
"The reason why I stopped doing boy-girl was because, as a woman who was getting older... I was finding that I couldn’t control where my fat was going in a scene with guys," she revealed.
"This is my reality and no bulls**t. When I have sex with a girl, I can position myself, I can work it a certain way, I can be a little bit more, oh how you doing today?
"But when a guy's behind you, it's just [doink doink doink] and stuff is just happening and I can feel it happening."
Holly, who also has 20 years in the adult industry, concurred, adding: "Especially with more seasoned guys, they will move you around into whatever position… that's great when you're thin and little and petite and look good from every angle."
Julia further explained that she has become self-conscious about her body, including how wrinkles may appear on camera, and said that following menopause, her body "moves separate from itself."
She also addressed the topic of having a relationship while being in the adult film industry, discussing the comments she and Holly received from those outside of the business.
"They like to cut people like that, so instead of saying like the guy literally doesn't care, they're like, oh that guy's some sort of sad cuck," Julia said.
However, Julia remains defiant that those who make hateful comments would be too insecure to handle relationships with her in real life anyway.
Megan Fox, long known for taking on bold and provocative roles, once said that she was stepping away from filming sex scenes.
In an interview published by TIME in 2016, the 39-year-old actor explained that her priorities have shifted as a mother of four.
Fox said she has recently turned down roles she considers 'degrading,' explaining that she does not want her children to one day see her in those situations.
“There are some good projects I’ve read that are with talented people, talented directors, but the things the women are required to do in the movie are things I can’t have my sons ever know or see,” she said.
"It [a project she was offered] has very graphic sex scenes, I don’t think my boys could handle that."
She added: “There are just certain things boys should never see their mothers do.”
Despite that change in direction, Fox made clear she still values her earlier work and the image she built in Hollywood.
Reflecting on her background, she said: “Where I’m from in Memphis, women are damsels and ladies and they’re gentle or whatever.
"I was very fiery and no-nonsense.
"I put that out there instantly in this industry because it’s important for people to understand that I am not a dumb girl, I’m a very clever girl and you’re not going to get anything over on me.”
She also suggested at the time she may eventually step away from acting altogether, noting: “I’m trying to figure out what I really want to do with the rest of my life because Hollywood is not a land where you can work until you’re elderly, when you’re a woman especially.”
The acting heartthrob is one of many in the industry who chose to set boundaries around on-screen nudity.
Jessica Alba has also expressed similar views, citing family as a key reason for her reluctance.
She spoke openly, saying: “I don't want my grandparents to see my boobs.
"That's it. It would be weird at Christmas.”
She also added that appearing nude would not necessarily improve her films: “And, I mean, really, if you look at the movies I have done, getting naked would never 'elevate' the picture.”
Despite this, Fox has also done sex scenes again in some other films since this statement, so it's not clear what she currently believes.
Still, it's really up to her in the end, isn't it? It's not for us to decide what she does and doesn't do, and what she personally feels comfortable with.
At a time where Hollywood is currently under scrutiny due to the ongoing allegations of sexual abuse and misconduct by high-ranking individuals such as Harvey Weinstein, Megan Fox has cast further light on what life is like for actors working in the industry.
The film star, who is not only a mom to three boys, but also a lingerie designer, manages to balance her life and career in a successful manner. During the course of promoting her latest lingerie line, Fox, who was voted the Sexiest Woman In The World in 2008, has dished the information on just how she manages to balance her life as a mom in the public eye.

The hands-on mom said, "[Brian] does the morning routine with them and takes them to school and I usually pick them up."
However, despite the busy schedule, Megan was keen to stress that the duo make sure that they find time for one another every week.
"We try to make it to a movie once a week or have an adult lunch so that everything isn't always kid-centered," said the Transformers star. "I try to make a rule let's not talk about the kids, but it's impossible."
Megan and Brian are parents to Noah Shannon, 5, Bodhi Ransom, 4, and Journey River, 1. And, while talking about what lingerie means to her, the actress said that she wears lingerie for her and not for her hubby.
[[instagramwidget||https://www.instagram.com/p/BdA4RIYA7Nz/?hl=en&taken-by=the_native_tiger]]
"I don't do anything for my partner. Everything I do is for myself," said the star.
"I think the whole point of lingerie is to help you feel more confident in expressing who you are it shouldn't be so much about parading around for someone else."
The 31-year-old also revealed how she manages to maintain her slim figure despite the constant pressures of being an A-list celebrity and busy mom. Meghan attributed part of her enviable shape to being an athlete in her teens, but also said a large part of it is down to her diet.
[[instagramwidget||https://www.instagram.com/p/BbTCPBmAiM0/?hl=en&taken-by=the_native_tiger]]
"I eat organic all the time. I drink at least 100 ounces of water a day and I drink less than 8 ounces of coffee a day."
Continuing to talk openly about her private and professional life, Fox had some strong words on "the industry," claiming that Hollywood, as a whole, is "morally bankrupt."
The candid star admitted, "there's not a lot of concern about what's right for individuals."
"As long as you survive filming and they've gotten what they need from you they don't really care if you drop dead afterwards," she added.
[[instagramwidget||https://www.instagram.com/p/BeY96GyAAn1/?hl=en&taken-by=the_native_tiger]]
"It doesn't matter if you break an arm or you break a leg. You can get really sick as long as you are not bleeding from your face you are going to keep working and people don't understand that. There's no regard for your safety or your physical well-being at all because it doesn't matter because you are a means to an end."
Megan's newest line of lingerie will launch on February 21st and given that she is the fact behind it, I'm sure it'll sell pretty well.
