Steven Spielberg’s porn star daughter is 'heartbroken' following domestic violence arrest

Mikaela Spielberg - the adopted daughter of famed Hollywood director Steven Spielberg and his wife Kate Capshaw - has spoken out for the first time following her arrest for domestic violence charges.

The 23-year-old - who recently revealed she was pursuing a career as an adult actress - says she has been left feeling "betrayed and heartbroken" in an exclusive statement to the UK tabloid The Sun.

Spielberg was arrested on Saturday morning after an alleged incident with her 47-year-old fiancé, Chuck Pankow, following a night out in a Nashville bar.

In the statement, Mikaela said: "I am personally very heartbroken and I feel betrayed because I called for medical assistance."

Mikaela revealed that she was detained after calling for medical help for Pankow, but did add that she believes officers were just following procedure.

Speaking to Fox News Pankow, said that the incident was "a misunderstanding". He added that the famed director's daughter was okay, stating: "No one is hurt".

Fox News was also informed by an official at the Davidson County Sheriff's Office that Mikaela was arrested for the charge of domestic assault and taken to the Hill Detention Center at around 6:30AM. The aspiring porn star was then placed on a $1,000 bond - which was posted by an unnamed individual.

Mikaela was placed on a "12-hour hold" as a result of the domestic violence charge, and was therefore unable to be released at the time her bond was initially posted. Online arrest records for the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office state that Mikaela was released from jail at 5:41PM on Saturday.

The Sun also reports that authorities had stressed that Pankow did not want his girlfriend to be prosecuted, but they decided to continue anyway after noticing a "fresh and recent" injury that had left dried blood on Chuck's hand.

Spielberg told the British news outlet that the incident was down to a miscommunication between her and the authorities and that she is now looking forward to clearing her name and putting forward her version of events in court on Monday.

In an exclusive interview with UK tabloid The Sun last month, the 23-year-old revealed that she has already started self-producing solo porn videos, and said that one her sex worker license is approved, she would like to become a stripper.

Spielberg said: "I got really tired of not being able to capitalize on my body and frankly, I got really tired of being told to hate my body. And I also just got tired of working day-to-day in a way that wasn't satisfying my soul.

"I feel like doing this kind of work, I'm able to 'satisfy' other people, but that feels good because it's not in a way that makes me feel violated."

She also described herself as a "sexual creature".

Regardless of the reputation often associated with the adult industry, Mikaela insists that her parents were "intrigued" and "not upset".

She said: "My safety has always been a number one priority for them. I'm doing this, not out of an urge to hurt anybody or be spiteful about it, I'm doing this because I want to honor my body in a way that's lucrative.

"I actually think that once they see how far I've come from the bottom I was at a year and a half ago, they're going to look at this and go, 'Wow, we actually raised are really self-assured, young lady."

Mikaela also broke the news of her new career venture to her social media followers earlier this month, writing: "I just launched my self-produced adult entertainment career. Safe, sane, consensual is the goal y'all.

"My body, my life, my income, my choice. I owe not a single person my autonomy or virtue just because of a name."
