With royal wedding fever yet to die down, the path of least resistance seems to be just to embrace it all. Putting aside Meghan Markle's apparently divisive Givenchy gown and her sexier evening ensemble - courtesy of Stella McCartney - it's apparent that there are still plenty of things to speculate over, sartorial or otherwise.
One such matter is Rick Hoffman's bizarre facial expressions.
Guests at the wedding included several A-list heavy hitters, such as Oprah Winfrey, Victoria and David Beckham, and the cast of Suits - whom Meghan worked alongside since 2011. However, none of the guests attracted as much press attention as Hoffman, who plays Louis Litt in the legal drama. The 47-year-old looked noticeably disgruntled while watching the ceremony, and he quickly became the subject of many memes and comedic posts on Twitter, naturally.
Rick Hoffman has gushed about the "otherworldly experience" that was the royal wedding, but it was his facial expressions which have united the internet.
Case in point:
Hoffman later posted a video explaining why he pulled the "weird" face, revealing that he was unfortunately sat next to someone who had bad breath. "To answer any questions about the weird face that was made at the wedding," he wrote on Instagram. "Imagine sitting next to people to your right and not knowing which person it was that has halitosis. Hence the face that's apparently all over the place."
Fans were quick to point out the similarities between Hoffman and his on-screen persona, Louis Litt. The Suits character is beloved for his sarcastic comebacks, taking mudbaths, and of course, using the catchphrase "You just got Litt up".
"Rick Hoffman aka Louis Litt from #Suits just said he made *that* face during the wedding because someone next to him had bad breath," one Twitter user wrote. "If that's not the most Louis Litt thing ever, I don't know what is (it's also kinda mean, omg)."
Kensington Palace has just released the first official photos of the newly married Duke and Duchess of Sussex. Captured by Alexi Lubomirski, the images include the couple surrounded by their family, and the page boys and flower girls who assisted them during Saturday's service.
"The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have released three official photographs from their Wedding day. These photographs were taken by photographer Alexi Lubomirski at Windsor Castle, following the carriage procession," Kensington Palace wrote on their Twitter account.
Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Phillip appear in two of the images - which were taken in the Green Drawing Room of Windsor Castle - as well the Duke of Cambridge, who was Prince Harry's best man. Naturally, Kate Middleton and Prince Charles are present, and the picture also includes Meghan's mother, Doria Ragland, who was the only member of her immediate family to attend the wedding.
"The Duke and Duchess would like to thank everyone who took part in the celebrations of their Wedding," Kensington Palace continued. "They feel so lucky to have been able to share their day with all those gathered in Windsor and those who watched on television across the UK, Commonwealth, and around the world."
Well, I guess the royal wedding was Litt up enough for Rick Hoffman, contrary to popular belief...
