Taylor Swift. When you read her name, or just hear it said in everyday conversation, what does it make you think of? For most people, the name Taylor Swift conjures an image of gorgeousness, style, and sheer class.

The blonde superstar always looks her best no matter the situation, and has come a long way from her humble YouTube country-singer roots, and evolved into a sophisticated and elegant woman.

Well, Most of the time that is. After all, Taylor's only human and she needs to cut loose and enjoy herself every once in a while just like the rest of us.

However, even during her downtime, it seems as though Taylor is incapable of being anything less than iconic, and this week an image of her drinking has managed to go viral on social media.

The image in question was taken from a video displayed on the Instagram stories of drag queen (and former Ru Paul's Drag Race contestant) A'keria Davenport, who shared a clip of Taylor celebrating her 10 VMA nominations at Beauty & Essex. Other guests at the party included Laverne Cox, Hayley Kiyoko, and the Haim sisters.

It's not clear whether Taylor was actually inebriated, tipsy, or just having fun, while dancing to her own song You Need To Calm Down, but she had no intention of calming down, and when fans took screenshots of the boozy session, it made for some instantly-relatable meme content.

Taylor has even addressed the reaction that the images garnered. Taking to Twitter, she wrote "Threw a party to celebrate with the people who made the ME! & YNTCD videos with me- and we had so much fun that ‘Drunk Taylor’ is trending on Twitter. CHEERS."

Recently, the singer has taken some flack from certain trolls on social media for being more outspoken about her liberal political views. In an interview with Vogue, she stated: "Unfortunately in the 2016 election you had a political opponent who was weaponizing the idea of the celebrity endorsement. He was going around saying, ‘I’m a man of the people. I’m for you. I care about you.’ I just knew I wasn’t going to help."

She added: "The summer before that election, all people were saying was, ‘She’s calculated. She’s manipulative. She’s not what she seems. She’s a snake. She’s a liar.’ These are the same exact insults people were hurling at Hillary. Would I be an endorsement or would I be a liability? ‘Look, snakes of a feather flock together. Look, the two lying women. The two nasty women.’"

Due to these comments, rapper and musician Kid Rock took a pot-shot at Taylor, which many social media users did not appreciate.
