It seems that Rebel Wilson and her billionaire boyfriend Jacob Busch really have called it quits.
Speculation that the pair had reached the end of the road began earlier this week when the Pitch Perfect star posted a photo of herself on Instagram with a very telling caption.
In the snap, that she shared with her 9 million followers, the Aussie actor, 41, is seen wearing a denim dress and yellow mini-cardigan. It has since garnered a staggering 1.2 million likes at the time of writing.
However, the caption, which included the hashtag "single girl" seemed to imply, well, just that - that the comic actress is no longer spoken for.
Rebel wrote: "Lots on my mind...aghhhhhh...#single-girl-heading-to-Super-Bowl! [sic]."
Now, a source has confirmed to E! News that Rebel felt it was time to end the relationship as it had "run its course".
"There wasn't one incident that really happened to end things, the relationship just ran its course and fizzled out," the insider said. "They had a great time together and remain good friends."
The physical distance between the pair didn't do much to strengthen their relationship either, with the source explaining that "they spent the holidays apart and it was getting a little hard to make it work since Rebel lives in LA and he lives in Palm Beach."
Fortunately, there seems to be no bad blood between the pair. In fact, according to the source, they are "still very amicable and friendly" and "they may even end up hanging out together in the future."
"Jacob has a lot of love and respect for Rebel and she'll always hold a special place in his heart," the source adds. "He adored her."
Many of the details of their relationship have been kept under wraps - including how long Rebel and Jacob actually dated.
However, we do know that they made their red carpet debut in September last year.
At the time that they dated, Rebel told E! News:
"Some people on social media say, 'Oh, well you lost weight and then you got a hot boyfriend.'
"But, what I do want to say to those people is that I actually dated Jacob when I was at my heaviest as well. So, it's not like I suddenly lost weight, and then you're like, oh, you get a hot boyfriend—that's not how it works."
