The world still isn't over the fact that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle tied the knot two weeks ago, in a gorgeous ceremony held at St George's Chapel in Windsor. It certainly was a memorable day; there was Meghan Markle's striking Givenchy gown, the statement she made by choosing to walk herself partly down the aisle, and then there was how adorably nervous the now-Duke of Sussex looked throughout the wedding.
Now, while this is a joyous time, the people of the world still have a loss to mourn: that of England's most eligible royal bachelor. But before we get too caught up, rest assured that there are still a number of other royals out there. Case in point: Prince Carl Philip of Sweden, who recently made his Instagram public for our viewing pleasure.
What a dreamboat, eh?
The Prince is 39-years-old this year, and is (unfortunately) married with two children. However, that shouldn't stop you from vicariously living through his perfect life, as his wife Princess Sophia and their children are adorable.
Earlier in May, Carl Philip posted a selfie to Instagram of himself and Princess Sophia to announce their newly public profile. "Welcome to our official Instagram account," the caption reads. "As you can see, we have already posted photos for a while to give you an insight into our work."
After scrolling through Carl Philip's Instagram feed, you can see the two royals hard at work on several charitable causes, amidst family photographs of their two young children, Prince Alexander and Prince Gabriel. Back in September, the couple posted a sweet photo of a newborn Gabriel with his older brother.
The royals also make it clear that they don't lead such different lives to us. See this candid family photo that they took on Valentine's Day...
Prince Carl Philip is currently fourth in line to the Swedish throne, coming in behind his older sister and her two children. He married Sofia Hellqvist, a former glamour model and reality television star, on the 13th of June 2015, at Stockholm's Royal Palace chapel.
The couple and their children have previously been featured on the Swedish Royal Family's official Instagram account, which is public. That Instagram feed is responsible for sharing highlights from each member of the family, including Carl Philip's parents, King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia, as well as his two siblings, Crown Princess Victoria and Princess Madeleine.
While Meghan Markle was famously required to delete all of her social media accounts ahead of her ascension into the British royal family, it's evident that royal families across the globe are making an active effort to keep up with the rest of the world, and to modernise their public persona. Earlier this year, Princess Eugenie joined Instagram, and an actual Queen is also on Instagram: Queen Rania of Jordan has an eye-watering 4.5 million followers.
Here's hoping that Queen Elizabeth is the next one to take to the social media platform...
