Tobey Maguire's ex-wife has spoken out amid the rumors that the Spider-Man star is dating a woman just three years older than their daughter.
Last week, the 49-year-old actor was spotted leaving Michael Rubin’s white party on the Fourth of July with 20-year-old model Lily Chee, who was also in attendance at the bash.
Since then, there's been a lot of talk online about whether or not the pair are dating, especially given the fact that Maguire is more than double Chee's age.
She is also allegedly only three years older than Maguire's daughter.
Fans wondered whether the actor was joining the club of Hollywood men who date girls much younger than them.
"This man is my father's age and I am this girls (few months older)... Toby Maguire is old enough to be her DAD what the f*** is he doing?" wrote one X user.
"Toby Maguire quietly watching DiCaprio go viral on the internet," added another.
And this user commented: "Can’t stop thinking about Tobey Maguire dating a 20 year old. There’s not a single person in that dude’s life that pulled him aside and was like, 'hey man…listen.'"
However, his ex-wife, 47, is here to clear the air and set the record straight after an Instagram troll asked her, why Maguire was “b*nging someone 3 years older than” their daughter.
According to screenshots posted to Reddit, Jennifer Meyer clapped back at the hater, writing: "I don't usually respond to such nonsense, but he was kindly helping a friend to her car.
"Being a good guy. And now he has blasted online for dating someone he is not."
She continued: "But thank you for your rude comment, I hope it made you feel better today. Wishing you love and light."
In a follow-up comment, she added: "... Don’t believe everything you read (I’m sure you were taught that somewhere) Tobey is as good of a guy as it gets."
After the event, Chee took to Instagram to post a handful of photos from the event with her friends - minus Maguire, of course.
“Fun fun fun for the 4th," she captioned the carousel.
Maguire has yet to personally address the rumors.
