It seems as though Will Smith is his toughest critic.
The actor, 52, called his post-lockdown body "so nasty" as he hit the gym to shed the pounds he gained this year.
In a post made on his official Instagram account, Smith shared a short video with his 53 million followers showing himself posing in his underwear on a rotating platform.
Smith himself can be heard commenting: "That is so nasty," before the video cuts to him working out in the gym.
The video, which was captioned: "The Pursuit of Happyness" in a nod to the 2006 movie Smith starred in, quickly picked up a lot of positive attention from the actor's many followers.
The post was an instant hit, racking up over 2.6 million likes and a further 23,000 comments, at the time of writing.
Praising his motivation, one person commented: "I'm sure you'll be back in shape in one month lol. [sic]"
Another person then added: "Stoked for the final form! Gonna be crazy!"
However, other fans seemed to appreciate his lockdown shape in its own right, with one fan writing: "Am I the only one who thinks a little belly is actually cute?"
Another person agreed, writing: "You're beautiful PERIOD! Nothing nasty about your [physique!] Many would kill to be in that shape."
Meanwhile, influencer and entrepreneur Brian Breach wrote: "Half way back to the I Am Legend physique [...] just keep using your WILL power. You got this. [sic]"
Smith was previously praised by his many fans for sharing a candid picture of his lockdown body on social media, in a bid to normalize more diverse body types in the wake of the global pandemic.
Encouraging others to get back into fitness, Smith stripped down to his underwear as he wrote: "This is the body that carried me through an entire pandemic and countless days grazing thru the pantry. I love this body, but I wanna FEEL better.
"No more midnight muffins…this is it! Imma get in the BEST SHAPE OF MY LIFE!!!!! Teaming up with @YouTube to get my health & wellness back on track. Hope it works! [sic]"
It's posts like Will's that prove we're all human, that we can all let things slide, and that we can all get back into shape with the right motivation.
