Zendaya opened up about her Instagram profile after she sent fans into a meltdown by unfollowing Tom Holland.

The move instantly sparked breakup speculation, with worried followers posting their emotional responses online.

One fan begged: “Whyyyy did Zendaya remove Tom from Instagram???? Mama miaaaa don't let it be...”

Another added: “Break up news is coming I fear,” while a third pleaded: “For the glory of my mother! Don't scare me like that.”

The Instagram purge had many convinced the low-key couple might have quietly called it quits. But it turns out, the answer is a lot simpler — and way less dramatic.

In an encounter with a TMZ photographer, Holland directly addressed the rumors.

When asked: “Have you split up with Zendaya?” he didn’t hesitate: “No, absolutely not.” Just like that, speculation was shut down, and fans could breathe again.

Zendaya’s social media cleanse, it seems, was just that — a routine digital declutter, not a relationship red flag.

The star has even opened up about her Instagram account in an interview with Vogue.

When asked about her 170 million followers, Zendaya replied: "I really try not to think - like, that's a lot of people."

Adding that she just posts whatever she thinks is cool, she admitted: "I feel the responsibility. It's like, there's a duality, really. There's a sense of me ignoring it and pretending it's not a real thing, and then also a sense of, there's a lot of people watching right now so I should probably say something and do things that are meaningful because I have an effect over a lot of people."

Zendaya expressed her desire to positively impact as many people as she could with her Instagram content.

Holland and Zendaya have been keeping things private since the beginning of their romance, which first sparked public interest in 2021.

The two met years earlier while filming Spider-Man: Homecoming in 2016 and formed a friendship that quietly evolved into something more.

While they’ve stayed mostly under the radar, both stars have offered rare glimpses into their connection. Back in September, Zendaya was quick to correct engagement rumors after she posted a picture of her wearing a ring.

“I posted [the picture] for my hat… Like, not for the ring on my right finger, you guys,” she said in a video, laughing off the frenzy. “Seriously, you think that's how I would drop the deuce? Like, what?!”

Meanwhile, Holland has spoken candidly about Zendaya during his appearance on the Dish from Waitrose podcast with Nick Grimshaw and Angela Hartnett.

While joking about how studios treat their relationship on set, he said, “Studios love it, one hotel room,” before clarifying: “Separate cars to and from set. Separate drivers. We’re not crazy now. Listen, it’s work, alright?!”

Despite the jokes, he didn’t hold back when it came to praising his partner. “It’s a saving grace. Yeah, best thing that’s ever happened to me,” he said.
