Chrissy Teigen has marked a very important milestone in her life - 50 days of being sober.
The former model, 35, has been very open and candid about her sobriety journey and her decision to quit drinking for good.
Back at the start of the year, the celebrity cook - who is married to singer John Legend - explained that she decided to quit alcohol after a few too many embarrassing moments caused by excessive drinking.
A whole nine months since then, Teigen is continuing her sober journey - albeit with "a few (wine) hiccups in the road".
Taking to Instagram on Saturday, September 4, the mom-of-two shared a sweet video of herself laying on a yoga mat during a workout while her two children Luna, five, and Miles, three, interrupted.
In the caption, she shared a candid message about her sobriety and celebrated a milestone moment in her personal journey.
"Today is my 50 day sobriety streak! it should be nearly a year but I had a few (wine) hiccups in the road,” she wrote in the caption.
"This is my longest streak yet! I still dunno if I’ll never drink again but I do know it no longer serves me in ANY way."
The cookbook author explained how alcohol affects her, writing: "I don’t get more fun, I don’t dance, I don’t get relaxed. I get sick, fall asleep and wake up sick, having missed what was probably a fun night.
"I had my fun with it and appreciate anyone that can enjoy it responsibly!!!!
"This is also my third day this week working out which is unheard of for me, and my bears are notttt making it easy but loving @movewithnicole on YouTube!!"
Back in January, Teigen got candid with her followers as she explained her reasons for ditching booze.
"One month ago, on my birthday, I got this book from my doctor and friend," she wrote alongside an image of Holly Whitaker's book Quit Like A Woman.
"I was done with making an *ss of myself in front of people (I'm still embarrassed,) tired of day drinking and feeling like s**t at 6, not being able to sleep."
She added: "I have been sober ever since. And even if you can't see yourself doing it or just plain don't want to, it is still an incredible read."
Teigen revealed she had stopped drinking at the end of 2020 after a difficult year for her family.
She and husband John suffered unimaginable heartbreak after losing their unborn baby son Jack in October 2020.

Chrissy Teigen has spoken candidly about her reasons for giving up alcohol, after revealing that she is now four weeks sober.
Earlier this week, the model shared a video of herself dancing while on vacation in a post captioned, "Good morning!"

And when a fan left a comment on the post asking for "whatever drugs" she was on, Teigen took the time to respond, revealing that she is "four weeks sober".
And Chrissy has since taken to her Instagram Story to explain why she has decided to quit alcohol, sharing the book that she used to help her achieve the feat.
"One month ago, on my birthday, I got this book from my doctor and friend," she wrote. "I was done with making an *ss of myself in front of people (I'm still embarrassed,) tired of day drinking and feeling like sh*t at 6, not being able to sleep."
"I have been sober ever since," she continued. "And even if you can't see yourself doing it or just plain don't want to, it is still an incredible read."
And this isn't the first time that Chrissy has opened up about her relationship with alcohol and the way it made her feel.
Back in 2017, she spoke to Cosmopolitan about a period of time during which she was "point blank, just drinking too much".
"I got used to being in hair and makeup and having a glass of wine," she told the publication. "Then that glass of wine would carry over into me having one before the awards show. And then a bunch at the awards show. And then I felt bad for making kind of an ass of myself to people that I really respected. And that feeling, there's just nothing like that. You feel horrible."
"Nobody really brought it up to me," she revealed. "They just assumed that it was OK because I always felt OK the next morning. I knew in my heart it wasn't right."
Meanwhile, in a recent Instagram post shared with her 33.5 million followers, the 35-year-old model and presenter uploaded a selfie taken in her dressing room and gave her fans an update on her current state of mind.

In a lengthy caption, Chrissy wrote:
"This is me and my body, just yesterday. Even though I’m no longer pregnant, every glance in the mirror reminds me of what could have been. And I have no idea why i still have this bump, honestly. It’s frustrating.
"But I’m proud of where this entire journey took my body and mind in other ways. I love being pregnant, so so much, and I’m sad I never will be again.
"But I am lucky to have two amazing little ones who are transforming into big little people more and more every single day. Anyhoo. Love u guys. Xx [sic]"

Chrissy Teigen has reached the one-year mark on her sobriety journey.
The model and mom-of-two took to Instagram to celebrate the milestone with a sweet video of herself, her husband John Legend, and kids Luna Simone and Miles Theodore.
In the caption, she reflected on how she used to use alcohol to control her anxiety.
"Not a drop of alcohol in 365 days! I miss feeling loopy and carefree sometimes, but to be honest toward the end, it didn't give that fun feeling anymore anyhow," she wrote, adding: "I drank to end crazy anxiety that later mostly went away when I - get this - quit drinking! sigh."
The Chrissy's Court star went on to say that she feels "really good" - but that she still struggles when looking back on the state she used to be in.
"Sometimes I get really frustrated looking back on days I should remember way better than I do because of alcohol. Like when I drank cafe patron and fell asleep while an Outback Steakhouse chef taught me (my friends) how to make a bloomin onion at my house. I wish I was awake for that. Wish I remembered really any awards show lol," she wrote.
"There are pictures from huge moments in life where my eyes just look…gone. Some are from real work shoots, some just beach days with the family," Teigen added.
She wrapped up the lengthy social media post by saying that - for now at least - she was going to use therapy to deal with her demons rather than drinking.
"While I honestly STILL don't know if I'll never have a drink again, I do know I never want to be that way again. And for now, none is best. I'll let the bad dreams come up and try to sort them out in therapy, without booze," she wrote.
Unsurprisingly, thousands of Teigen's 38.6 million followers flooded the comments with messages of love and support for her.
"A great accomplishment. You’re glowing, too," writer Kirbie Johnson wrote, while Irinel de Leon, Teigen's hairstylist, commented: "It’s been a journey and one that has been hard, rewarding and incredible to watch. I love you so much."

Chrissy Teigen has taken to social media to proudly announce that she is four weeks sober.
This comes after a tumultuous time for the author and model, who tragically miscarried her son, Jack, earlier this year.
The 35-year-old shared the news of her sobriety with a fan, the Metro reports, after posting a high-energy video of herself dancing in a swimsuit to Instagram.
Chrissy broke down in tears in this post-therapy video earlier this month:

In the clip, which was filmed in St Barts, the 35-year-old can be heard singing 'Good Morning' from Singing In The Rain, however, despite her clear enthusiasm for the performance, she struggled to get the lyrics right.
One person commented: "I need whatever drugs you're on!!" and Chrissy responded: "4 weeks sober" alongside heart and prayer emojis.

This comes after Chrissy previously admitted that she struggles with her alcohol consumption.
In an interview with Cosmopolitan in 2017, after she had taken a break from drinking, Chrissy said: "I was, point blank, just drinking too much. I got used to being in hair and makeup and having a glass of wine.
"Then that glass of wine would carry over into me having one before the awards show. And then a bunch at the awards show. And then I felt bad for making kind of an ass of myself to people that I really respected.
"And that feeling, there's just nothing like that. You feel horrible. It's not a good look for me, for John, for anybody."

She added: "Nobody really brought it up to me. They just assumed that it was okay because I always felt okay the next morning."
"I knew in my heart it wasn’t right. It makes you very short with people. People think it's cutesy and fun to go on these boozy brunches, but there’s more to it. I've never once been like, 'I'm sure glad I had that boozy brunch!'"
As well as giving up alcohol, Chrissy has vowed to "stop explaining herself" on social media in the coming year.
