Elon Musk fathered twins with a top executive at one of his companies last year, according to court documents obtained by Insider.
The documents in question show that, in 2021, the SpaceX CEO welcomed twins with Shivon Zilis - an executive at his artificial intelligence startup, Neuralink. If true, this would mean that the billionaire has nine known children.
In April, Zilis and the 51-year-old Tesla founder filed a petition to change the two infants' names to "have their father's last name and contain their mother's last name as part of their middle name," the outlet reports.
Zilis reportedly gave birth in November 2021, meaning the twins were born just before Musk and his ex-partner Grimes welcomed a child via surrogate in December.
The Neuralink exec is currently employed as director of operations and special projects for the company, of which Musk is co-CEO.
This news comes after 18-year-old Vivian Jenna, one of the eldest children of the world's wealthiest man, was granted permission to change her name to Vivian Jenna Wilson and remove her father's surname, Musk.
In court documents obtained by TMZ, she said she "no longer live[s] with or wish[es] to be related to my biological father in any way, shape or form."
In March, Grimes revealed she and Musk had welcomed a second child together - a baby girl named Exa Dark Sideræl.
During an interview with Vanity Fair, Grimes was asked whether the two of them were still "together".
Grimes said at the time: "There’s no real word for it … I would probably refer to him as my boyfriend, but we’re very fluid. We live in separate houses. We’re best friends. We see each other all the time … We just have our own thing going on, and I don’t expect other people to understand it."
The 'Oblivion' singer went on to say that they had planned to have more children. She said: "We’ve always wanted at least three or four."
Grimes later posted a string of tweets, saying that they had called it quits, adding that Musk was still "the love of my life."
She wrote: "Me and E have broken up *again* since the writing of this article haha, but he’s my best friend and the love of my life, and my life and art are forever dedicated to The Mission now, I think Devin wrote that part of the story rly well. [sic]"
