Elon Musk has revealed that he welcomed a third child with Grimes and - in typical Musk fashion - the name is pretty unique.
Musk, 52, always seems to be in the headlines for one reason or another - but more so since his $44 billion takeover of Twitter, which he has since renamed X.
The billionaire is set to release a biography, aptly titled "Elon Musk", and according to a review published by the New York Times, it holds some secrets about another addition to his family.
The review revealed that the tech mogul and his former partner, Grimes, secretly welcomed a third child together - though the details such as the date of birth have been kept under wraps.
Musk and 35-year-old Grimes already shared two children together, who both sport unique names. Their 1-year-old daughter goes by the name Exa Dark Sideræl, lovingly nicknamed Y, and their 3-year-old son sports the unique name X Æ A-12.
So the name of their latest addition shouldn't come as too much of a surprise - Techno Mechanicus.
The couple, who affectionately refer to their child as "Tau," has kept details surrounding their growing family relatively under wraps.
The origins of the romance between Musk and Grimes date back to 2018 when PageSix reported on their budding relationship.
It all began when Musk, the Tesla founder, intended to write a humorous tweet about artificial intelligence. To his surprise, he discovered that Grimes - whose real name is Claire Elise Boucher - had already made the same joke. This shared sense of humor led to the start of their relationship.
Their first child, X, entered the world in May 2020, followed by the birth of Exa Dark Sideræl in December 2021 via surrogate. However, the couple's relationship hit turbulence, and they decided to part ways just months after welcoming their daughter.
Grimes took to Twitter (which is also now known as X) to share her feelings at the time, stating: "Me and E have broken up again since the writing of this article haha, but he’s my best friend and the love of my life, and my life and art are forever dedicated to The Mission now."
The status of their relationship remains unclear, but the pair were seen together in Portofino, Italy, in July, accompanied by their son.
Although they were not photographed together, the Daily Mail indicated that they were staying at the same upscale hotel during their visit.
Musk's 17-year-old son, Saxon - whom he welcomed during his previous marriage to Justine Wilson - also joined them on their Italian vacation.
Recently, Grimes made a plea via Twitter to reconnect with her son, addressing Musk with a since-deleted tweet, cited by PageSix: "Tell Shivon to unblock me and tell Elon to let me see my son or plz respond to my lawyer. I have never even been allowed to see a photo of these children until this moment, despite the situation utterly ripping my family apart."
In total, Elon Musk now shares 11 children with three different women.
Musk and Wilson welcomed their first child, Nevada Alexander, back in 2002, but he tragically died when he was 10 weeks from sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS).
Following their loss, Wilson and Musk welcomed twins, Griffin and Vivian, in 2004. In January 2006, they expanded their family further with triplets, Kai, Saxon, and Damian. Two years later, Musk and Wilson divorced.
