Shania Twain has taken the world by storm following her appearance at the People's Choice Awards this week - as no one can quite believe she's actually 57.
The country singer - who is most widely known for her chart-topping songs 'That Don't Impress Me Much' and 'Man! I Feel Like A Woman!' - was at the awards ceremony in Santa Monica to perform a medley of her greatest hits and a new track from her upcoming album, Queen of Me.
Twain has had a decorated four-decade career in which she has sold more than 100 million albums, making her the best-selling female artist in country music history as well as one of the best-selling female artists of all time, Entertainment Weekly has detailed.
Per The Daily Mail, the Canadian pop icon began her performance with her 1995 hit 'Any Man Of Mine,' which saw her sporting a floor-length red vinyl coat bedazzled with rhinestones and surrounded by a ring of fire as well as dancers on mechanical bulls.
The songstress then switched it up for her next song - 1997's 'That Don't Impress Me Much' - where she tore off her coat to reveal a corset and chaps with a glitzy diamond fringe. As she sang her final chorus, she changed the lyrics from "So, you're Brad Pitt? That don't impress me much," to reference Ryan Reynolds instead.
As the song transitioned to one of the tracks - 'Waking Up Dreaming' - from her latest album, Twain once again changed up her wardrobe. Unzipping her corset, she revealed she was wearing a glittering nude illusion jumpsuit underneath. Then, for her final number, 'Man! I Feel Like A Woman!' the mom-of-one placed a black top hat on her head, similar to the one she wore in the original music video.
Evidently, her energy and talent left viewers wondering how on earth the singer was 57 years old - and they took to social media to share their shock.
"Idly watching the People's Choice Awards red carpet on TV and saw this smoking hot 22-year-old brunette. It was Shania Twain, who is 57. That is some sorcery," someone tweeted, clearly in disbelief.
Someone hilariously replied that Twain's secret antidote to a youthful appearance as she nears sixty could be down to several very Canadian things, quipping: "It's a combination of the metric system, maple syrup and poutine."
Unsurprisingly, Twain's Instagram was also flooded with comments of praise from some of her 1.9 million followers.
"This had me tearing up in the end! I remember listening to her on a cassette tape in the 90s! A lot of people don't know about that life!" one person wrote.
Someone else chimed in: "Whoever did her makeup!! [...] So good. And pink hair, who knew? Looks and still sounds so great. Love you, Shania [...]."
Following her performance, Twain accepted the Music Icon Award in recognition of her contribution to the industry. She called the honor a "privilege and a dream," adding that she always wanted to "inspire" people with her music, PEOPLE reported.
And if we look half as good as she does at 57, we'll be very happy indeed.
