Fans have been left baffled but amused after watching an interviewer respond to Logan Paul with "I love you too, man" during an interview during his brother Jake Paul's fight against Tommy Fury.

The awkward blunder took place on Sunday night (February 26) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, prior to the fifth round of the highly anticipated bout between YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul and former Love Island contestant Tommy Fury.

Logan Paul was sitting in the audience to support his brother during one of the biggest matches of his sporting career when he was approached by ringside reporter, Radio Rahim, who asked the 27-year-old what words of advice he had for his sibling before the match.

"I said 'Jake I love you. I’m not gonna give you a big speech, I know you got this but either come back victorious or come back on your shield.’

"I love you, bro," he concluded, however, it seemed as though the reporter was under the impression that his sign-off was aimed at him, so responded back with: "I love you too, man."

Of course, the moment immediately went viral online when it was reposted to Twitter by UK radio host Roman Kemp as well as on Instagram by the British meme account, 'Thearchbishopofbanterbury', who captioned the clip: "Happens to the best of us."

The video has since been viewed over 1.7 million times and thousands of fans have now commented on the awkward but hilarious interaction.

"The secondhand [sic] embarrassment is real," one user stated, while another agreed, writing that it was "Some serious secondhand embarrassment."

"I chuckled catching that last night," a third chimed in.

Others tried their best to make the situation better for Rahim.

"What if he was saying 'I love you too' to Jake - I’m trying to have hope here."

It's a long shot, but let's go with that.

Some other Instagram users recalled other similar incidents, relating to the reporter's mistake.

"'Enjoy your meal' 'You too.'"

"Usually happens at the shop for me. Cashier: 'thank you' me 'love you.'"

Awkward!

Though his brother ended up losing his first professional match to 23-year-old Fury, who has recently welcomed a baby girl with his partner Molly-Mae Hague, he did give it his best shot, even knocking his opponent out in the final round.

Unfortunately, it just wasn't enough to clinch the victory and Fury had all bragging rights after the judges ruled in his favor. The judges’ scores were 75-74 Paul, 76-73 Fury, and 76-73 Fury, with the Brit remaining unbeaten, as per the BBC.

"All respect to Tommy, I will come back, I think we deserve the rematch," Paul said after the battle, which is a challenge that Fury wholeheartedly welcomed.

Speaking to BT Sport after the fight, he dedicated his performance to Hague and their daughter Bambi before talking about making his own legacy.

"For the past two years this is all that has consumed my life," an emotional Fury said. "Everybody thought I was running scared but tonight I made my own legacy.

"This is my first main event, I am going to get bigger and better and if he wants a rematch, bring it on."
