Tommy Fury is set to walk away a lot richer after beating Jake Paul during the pair's long-awaited boxing bout on Sunday.

The former Love Island star, 23, who is the younger brother of champion Tyson Fury, took on the YouTuber, 26, in Saudia Arabia at the weekend after their previous bouts were postponed due to injury and visa issues.

The pair had shared a number of heated exchanges over the past two years in the build-up to the event, including Paul apparently leaking the news of Fury's daughter's birth before he and Molly-Mae Hague had made their own announcement.

But the drama was all worthwhile as both contenders are reportedly walking away with a tidy sum in their pocket.

On Sunday, Fury won by split decision, making his professional record 9-0 after beating Paul, despite being knocked down by the YouTuber.

The 23-year-old is set to walk away with a seven-figure sum for the fight, with Sports Zion claiming he will receive $2 million as a base salary, plus 35 percent of the pay-per-view profits. Paul is also set to get a base salary of $3.2 million and 65 percent of the pay-per-view revenue.

They claim Fury will walk away with $4.5 million in total, while Paul will get $8.6 million overall. Not bad for eight rounds in the ring.

Following the split-decision being announced in Fury's favor, Paul called for the pair to have a rematch after claiming he injured his arm during training and was sick during camp, meaning he wasn't able to inflict the full force of his famed right hand on his opponent.

Paul told the crowd during his post-fight interview: "We can run it back, I think we deserve that rematch. All respect to Tommy, he won. Don't judge me by my wins, judge me by my losses."

He added: "I felt flat - I got sick really bad twice in this camp, injured my arm. This wasn't my best performance, but that's no excuse.

"This is definitely a humbling experience. I've made it further than I ever thought that I would, and beyond."

Fury was also open to the prospect of the pair facing off again in the ring, telling reporters: "This is my first main event. If he wants a rematch, bring it on."

With so much money on the line, it's no wonder both boxers are keen to take each other on for a second time.

Following the bout, the pair showed each other respect in the ring, despite their pre-match relationship being more than fraught.

The pair's feud had been sparked by Tyson Fury after his brother's bout with Scott Williams in February 2021, when he tweeted about the win and tagged Paul, daring him to fight his younger brother.

Paul had hit back by claiming he didn't even know the champion had a brother and calling the Love Islander a "little kid".

The pair were due to fight in December 2021 in Tampa, Florida, but Fury was forced to pull out with a medical issue, and their rescheduled bout in August 2022 was also canceled due to Fury having visa issues.

Paul had goaded Fury, claiming the boxer was just scared to take him on, before dragging Fury's girlfriend Hague into the mix by claiming she had sent him a DM, however the image was later deemed to have been photoshopped.

He also appeared to leak the news of Fury and Hague's daughter Bambi being born, tweeting on January 27: "Fumbles has no excuses now. Baby is born. Money is massive. Immigration no issue.

"Tyson promises he and Papa will make Tommy retire from boxing and change his last name if he can’t beat the YouTuber. I’m coming to London to look at all 3 Furys in the eye and shake on that promise."

The couple made their own public announcement of the birth of their baby daughter three days later on January 30.
