Congratulations are in order for Amy Schneider. She's now a millionaire!

On Friday, January 7, the software engineering manager managed to surpass $1 million after her 28th consecutive win.

On the episode, Schneider's total winnings shot up to $1,019,600 after she earned herself an additional $42,200 on Friday's episode.

Guest host Ken Jennings had the honor of delivering the groundbreaking news. She is now the fifth millionaire in Jeopardy! history, and only the fourth contestant to achieve the honor in regular-season play.

"It feels amazing, it feels strange," Schneider said in a statement, per ET Online. "It's not a sum of money I ever anticipated would be associated with my name."

Schneider became somewhat of a household name in December. At 21 wins, she broke the record for the most consecutive wins by a woman, thus surpassing Julia Collins' 20 wins.

What's more, Schneider is the first openly transgender contestant to qualify for the Tournament of Champions.

Needless to say, many fans of the show are thrilled with the historic achievement, with one tweeting: "Wow! Pretty damn amazing and inspiring! Go @Jeopardyamy Go! Thank you for putting yourself out there and taking so many hits for the rest of us."

Another wrote: "It's been so awesome to watch @Jeopardyamy crush it each week but even more awesome to see her reach $1M in winnings! She knows everything there is to know about everything and is SO impressive. GO AMY!"

This comes after Schneider revealed recently that she had been robbed and harrassed by transphobic trolls.

The Jeopardy champ wrote on Twitter earlier this week: "Hi all! So, first off: I'm fine. But I got robbed yesterday, lost my ID, credit cards, and phone. I then couldn't really sleep last night and have been dragging myself around all day trying to replace everything."

The robbery took place some days after Schneider achieved her 21st consecutive Jeopardy win and became the highest-scoring female contestant in history.

All things considered, her most recent win would have been welcome news for her. Again, we congratulate Schneider on her absolutely fantastic achievement!
