Jeopardy champion Amy Schneider has revealed that she was the victim of a robbery following her historic winning streak on the quiz show.
Schneider took to Twitter on January 4 to confirm that she was fine and all safe after the experience.
The engineering manager from Oakland, California, also took the opportunity to hit out at transphobic trolls, who she revealed have been harassing her during her victorious spell on the tv show.
Since winning 24-games in a row, Schneider has become Jeopardy's top-winning female contestant of all time, and the fourth-highest winner of any gender.
In her initial tweet, Schneider checked in with her followers, writing: "Hi all! So, first off: I'm fine. But I got robbed yesterday, lost my ID, credit cards, and phone. I then couldn't really sleep last night and have been dragging myself around all day trying to replace everything."
The robbery occurred just days after Schneider bagged her 21st consecutive Jeopardy win and became the highest-scoring female contestant of all time.
Oakland police confirmed to NBC News that they are investigating an armed robbery in the area. However, they could not confirm the victim's identity or clarify whether Schneider was targetted for her winnings.
It wasn't the first time the quiz show champion had been targeted in recent days. On New Year's Eve, she took to Twitter to call out transphobic trolls.
"I’d like to thank all the people who have taken the time, during this busy holiday season, to reach out and explain to me that, actually, I’m a man," Schneider tweeted. "Every single one of you is the first person ever to make that very clever point, which had never once before crossed my mind."
Her unphased response to haters earned Schneider an outpouring of love and support from fans who have liked her tweet over 41,000 times.
Meanwhile, many left messages in the comments section praising Schneider.
"Our trans kid watches you in total awe and gratitude every night. Thank you for being the amazing woman that you are," one user wrote.
"You are a woman, and a WINNER!! This old lady from Maine thinks you Rock," wrote another.
Former contestant Christy Karras also commented, saying: "Laugh all the way to the bank, Amy. Your fellow women of Jeopardy have your back."
