Fans of Peaky Blinders actor Cillian Murphy have been left shocked by his drastically altered appearance this week, after the trailer for the upcoming sequel to A Quiet Place dropped on social media.
The Irish actor, best known for portraying the character of Tommy Shelby in the hit period gangster drama, sports a thick grey beard when he appears, playing an as-yet-untitled character in the sequel whom Emily Blunt's character Evelyn asks for help from.

The plot of the movie is still being deliberately kept quiet (pun unintended), although the first film ended with the family discovering the secret weakness of the blind extraterrestrial creatures with an acute sense of hearing who destroyed civilization
The movie's official synopsis states: "Members of the Abbott family and a mysterious stranger (Cillian Murphy) fight for survival against otherworldly creatures that hunt by sound."
Commenting on the upcoming sequel in a recent interview with Digital Spy, Krasinski described how excited he was with the project, stating: "This is a world you can play in, this isn’t just a character to remake… it’s actually a world, which is a whole different, very unique experience."

He continued: "It’s not like Alien or Jaws where the main villain is the thing you’re repeating; it’s an actual entire set of rules and the circumstance that the world has undergone that you can play in very different facets."
In the same interview, Emily Blunt stated: "I think actually it’s now what’s the next chapter and what happens next. I think people feel very invested in this family… I think it’s such an open book right now, and certainly for John who is lasering into something as we speak."
A Quiet Place: Part II is due to be released in cinemas on March 20, 2020.

Cillian Murphy is set to don a flat cap once again because it has been confirmed that he's returning for a Peaky Blinders movie.
If you're unfamiliar with Peaky Blinders, it takes place in Birmingham in the UK and picks up after World War One, where the Shelby family set up a betting racket in the area.
I won't spoil it too much for those who haven't seen it, but what starts as a small operation turns into the Shelbys becoming one of the most notorious gangster families in the country.
Murphy takes on the role of Tommy Shelby, the head of the family, with Paul Anderson playing his brother Arthur, and the late Helen McCrory playing the formidable Polly Gray.
The series is full of guest appearances from notable actors, such as Tom Hardy, Adrien Brody, and Sam Neill.
Peaky Blinders is very loosely based on a real Birmingham-based gang, though the real history isn't anywhere near as exciting or explosive as what the BBC series portrays.
The show concluded in 2022 but in typical Peaky Blinders fashion, the door was left open for more, and rumors of a movie have been circulating ever since.
It has now been confirmed that one is on the way, and Tommy Shelby will return.
Creator Steven Knight disclosed this thrilling development during an interview with BirminghamWorld at the premiere of his new BBC show This Town.
Knight announced: "He [Murphy] is definitely returning for it. We're shooting it in September just down the road in Digbeth."
Scheduled to commence filming at Digbeth Loc Studios in Birmingham later this year, the movie will unfold against the backdrop of World War II, which will bring up unwelcome memories of the past for Tommy and his gang.
As per the Daily Mail, Murphy's commitment to the project was evident in his earlier remarks this year, where he stated: "I have always said that if Knight delivers a script that I know he can deliver, because he is such a phenomenal writer, I'll be there. If we want to watch 50-year-old Tommy Shelby, I will be there. Let's do it."
The actor, fresh off his Oscars win for Best Actor for his role in Oppenheimer, expressed his fondness for portraying Tommy Shelby, describing the character as both exhausting and wildly different from his usual roles.

The teaser for the sequel to the hit horror movie A Quiet Place, starring Emily Blunt and directed by John Krasinski, has dropped.
The short clip appears to set the scene not long after the first movie concluded, and shows the characters of Evelyn Abbott (Emily Blunt) and her children Regan, Marcus, and her unnamed newborn baby, creeping through the woods. Evelyn's foot is still bandaged after she injured it on the stairs in the first movie, and her and the kids still seem to be very wary about their surroundings.

We don't know much about the plot of the sequel, although the first film ended with the family discovering the secret weakness of the blind extraterrestrial creatures with an acute sense of hearing who have managed to utterly ravage human society.
The movie's official synopsis states: "Members of the Abbott family and a mysterious stranger (Cillian Murphy) fight for survival against otherworldly creatures that hunt by sound."

Fans of the hit BBC period crime drama Peaky Blinders have been desperate for the return of Tommy Shelby and his gang, and it feels like ages since we last dived into the grim and gritty world of Birmingham in the 1920s.
Set in the aftermath of the Great War, the series follows the Romani Shelby family, led by Tommy Shelby (played by Irish actor Cillian Murphy), as the shellshocked men return home to build a criminal empire.
Tommy himself is a brooding, manipulative Chessmaster with an egotistical power complex and a Machiavellian ruthlessness that sets him apart from the rest of his family. As a result, it was only natural that season four would end with him trying to make it as a corrupt politician.

Now the BBC has released a promotional teaser for the upcoming series, which shows Tommy looking far more stately and respectable in his guise as Labour MP for Birmingham South. Indeed, based on this image, fans have speculated that season five will deal with themes such as the rise of fascism and the Wall Street crash, as well as a clash with one of Glasgow's infamous razor gangs.
The official synopsis for the show states:
"Series five of Steven Knight's crime family saga finds the world thrown into turmoil by the financial crash of 1929. Opportunity and misfortune are everywhere. When Tommy Shelby MP (Cillian Murphy) is approached by a charismatic politician with a bold vision for Britain, he realises that his response will affect not just his family's future but that of the entire nation."

Speaking to the Metro, actor Paul Anderson, who plays Tommy's older brother Arthur, explained how the Shelby's newfound power will only serve to make them a more dominant force:
"What it gives Arthur and his family is more power. Tommy is in a position of power, and he can only get stronger in that position. We’ll all have more cover, more opportunity and more protection.
"Becoming an MP is just Tommy expanding his empire – his ambition is to have power in a lot of areas and that’s just another extension of his power."
Shooting on Season 5 has wrapped up, and the show has now entered post-production, meanwhile, creator Steven Knight has confirmed that he is already writing Season 6 – and has spoken of how everything will end at the end of season 7.

Game of Thrones actor Aidan Gillen is also due to return to his role as Aberama Gold, and per the Radio Times, Hunger Games star Sam Claflin and former Hollyoaks actor Emmett J Scanlan are among the list of new cast members to join the Shelby clan in series five.
