Viewers have been left in hysterics after seeing Robert Downey Jr. plant a big ol' kiss on Cillian Murphy during the Critics Choice Awards.
On Sunday night at the Barker Hanger in Santa Monica, California, we were treated to a whole host of iconic moments with some of our favorite stars while celebrating a wonderful year of entertainment.
Big names such as Emma Stone, Ryan Gosling, and Harrison Ford all made an appearance at the audience-led event.
While the achievements were obviously a hot talking point online, other key moments came from the celebs' reactions - such as Gosling's dismay at 'I'm Just Ken' picking up an award.
The 43-year-old actor was seemingly a little taken aback when 'I'm Just Ken' from the Barbie soundtrack was called as the winner of the Best Song category which included two other songs from the Barbie soundtrack, Barbie: The Album - Dua Lipa’s 'Dance the Night' and Billie Eilish’s 'What Was I Made For?'
Not only did the star look absolutely bewildered, he was also staring back and forth at the camera and then away as if to wonder how the tune he performed in the movie beat out other massive tracks.
Have a look at the iconic moment below:However, perhaps the most hilarious moment of the night goes to an interaction between Cillian Murphy and Robert Downey Jr. which saw the Marvel star get up close and personal with the Peaky Blinders alum as he claimed the victory for Best Supporting Actor.
Viewers were left in hysterics after seeing Downey, 58, pull the 47-year-old in for an intimate moment, with Murphy looking incredibly confused afterward, though he didn't hesitate to offer both of his cheeks to Downey.
"Cillian not expecting the kisses," wrote one user while another added: "He's an INTJ, he saw his life through his eyes in 5 milliseconds."
A third also stated: "He looks so confused and accepts his fate."
And this user found the moment hilarious writing: "Me when someone gets too friendly and I wanna stay polite."
Some even urged the actor to go for the "mouth."
Big yikes.
When accepting the award, Downey took to the Critics' Choice stage and read out scathing reviews of some of his work as part of his acceptance speech.
"I was thinking this morning, I love critics," the Iron Man star said. "You know, they've given me such beautiful feedback, really just so many great moments, and some of it is so poetic - I just want to share some of their thoughts with you over the years."
"The first one's kinda like haiku: 'Sloppy, messy and lazy;' the second one's more metaphoric: 'Like Pee-wee Herman emerging from a coma,'" he read. "This was from a Brit: 'A puzzling waste of talent.' And lastly - and this one lingered - 'amusing as a bed-locked fart.'"
He also acknowledged his fellow nominees including Sterling K. Brown, Mark Ruffalo, Charles Melton, Ryan Gosling and Robert De Niro: "I think Bob, Ryan, Charles and Mark will welcome Sterling K. to the mix. Another challenger has entered the octagon," he stated before adding: "Every day of filming was like having my ego's ass handed to me at the door, and I think it couldn't have happened to a nicer guy.
"I want to say, I have a 24-hour running commentary. It's like Siskel and Ebert. Susan Downey and my publicist. I hope they I think did better this time. I'll hear about it," he concluded his speech.
Christopher Nolan's biopic drama film Oppenheimer bagged a total of eight awards including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Supporting Actor, Best Editing, Best Cinematography, Best Visual Effects, Best Score, and Best Acting Ensemble.
