Co-star compares Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper's 'chemistry' to Brangelina
It's fair to say Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper's performance at the Academy Awards left an impression on all of us. That impression being - for many - that they were head-over-heels in love, Bradley had more or less impregnated the singer onstage, and they were about to elope in the Bahamas and raise their first child there.
This is, of course, is wholly overlooking the fact that Bradley has been dating model Irina Shayk since 2015 and shares a child with her, and Gaga has literally just broken up with her fiancé Christian Carino. But, hey, it was a steamy performance, alright?
One person who is shipping the pair is their co-star, Luenell, who appeared briefly in A Star Is Born to sell Jack and Ally a bag of frozen peas on their first date. In fact, in a recent interview, the American comedian even went so far as to compare the two stars to Brangelina, who scandalously became a couple after starring in Mr and Mrs Smith together - despite the fact that Brad Pitt was married to Jennifer Aniston at the time.
Speaking to Us Weekly about the overly analysed Oscar performance, Luenell said: "I’m just saying — it happened with Brad and Angelina. I don’t see how you do not fall in love with your co-star."
Nonetheless, despite her feelings about their chemistry, the 59-year-old actually doesn't believe anything romantic will happen and acknowledges Bradley's long-term relationship and Gaga's strong moral compass.
"[Lady Gaga] don’t play that," she said. "But I’m just saying they got mad chemistry. That’s what I think makes it… because I believe in the moment [they were filming] that it was real."
After the two heated up the Oscar stage singing Shallow, it seemed that everyone in the world took to social media to comment on the deeply passionate performance.
The big moment even spurred Bradley's ex-wife Jennifer Esposito to comment on a picture of the two of them - not that she said much!
When actor David Spade uploaded an image of the Gaga and Bradley and wrote "Is there any chance these 2 aren't f**king? [sic]," the 45-year-old - who had a bitter divorce from the actor in 2007 - responded with the word "ha".
However, her seemingly innocuous comment got her in big trouble, with the media claiming she was being "vicious" towards her ex-husband.
Defending her reaction, Jennifer took to social media once again and said: "You know so many people have been commenting about something that I said which was like this, 'ha' – that was it. It was towards David Spade’s very outward statement about something about an ex, and I literally laughed at him because he was so bold in what he was saying. I thought it was funny and I’m allowed to think something is funny."
Hey, the rest of the world is apparently allowed to comment on Bradley and Gaga - why not Jennifer?
