Another day, another Game of Thrones mistake!

Back in the day, the hit HBO show could do no wrong. But with the airing of the final season, things seemed to fall apart.

First came the Starbucks cup that reportedly gave the drinks company $2 billion in free advertising. Then, Jamie Lannister's hand magically grew back in a promo shot for the penultimate episode. Then arrived the infamous plastic water bottle that stole viewers' attention in the very final episode.

See if you can spot the water bottle in the Game of Thrones footage below:

Now, to put the cherry on the cake, a Reddit user has clocked a fourth blunder in the final season - and we're sorry to say it's a pretty massive one: a disappearing mountain range in King's Landing.

The Redditor, going by the name of BelgianVictim, posted two photos to highlight the continuity error. One depicts a scene from season six episode The Winds of Winter in which Cersei demolished the Sept of Baelor with wildfire, and the other shows King's Landing burning to the ground in season eight's The Bells. The first image boasts a beautiful green mountain range, the second... not so much.

Commenting on the comparison, BelgianVictim wrote: "Remember when Kings Landing had Mountains?"

But maybe the mountains were just obscured by the fire, you say?

Don't let the smoke in the second picture fool you. The eagle-eyed Game of Thrones fan is absolutely right in saying that the mountains appear to have been flattened long before Daenerys and Drogon came along to murder swarms of innocent townspeople.

A Twitter account that claims to be affiliated with the r/freefolk subreddit tweeted another photo of Tyrion approaching the gates before the dramatic battle for further proof that the creators messed this one up.

In this picture, you can see a faint outline of mountains beyond Tyrion - but they're nothing compared to the massive green hills we've seen in past shots of the area.

"Everyone's talking about the coffee cup but can we talk about why the f**k King's Landing is now in a desert without mountains?" they tweeted.

Needless to say, people on the internet reacted fairly savagely to the fourth major mistake.

"Well you see, King’s Landing kind of forgot its geographical location," wrote a Redditor going by the username of Chris_Isur_Dude.

"Drogon, breaker of barriers, leveler of mountains, last of his siblings and gentle bearer of a fallen queen. We will not see his kind again," joked Cookiepush.

Missed the Starbucks cup's starring moment in season eight? Look no further:

Not everyone was so mean though. PyreticGem defended David Benioff and D.B. Weiss saying: "Honestly why can't people just sit back and enjoy the show, turn off your brain, cover your eyes, plug your ears".

Are you disappointed that yet another gaffe has been discovered? Or are you giving the Game of Thrones creators a get out of jail free card, given how hard they worked on this season?

Sadly, it seems most fans will be opting for the former.
