Keanu Reeves is pretty much the man of the moment as far as Hollywood is concerned. Marvel Studios are practically begging him to join the MCU, his stage appearance for Cyberpunk 2077 at E3 won over the internet crowd for good, and fans are even petitioning for him to be named Time Magazine's person of the year.
That doesn't go to mention the fact he's had a starring role in Toy Story 4 this summer, had another hit with John Wick 3, and stole the show playing a ridiculous version of himself in Always Be My Maybe. As if this wasn't enough good news to kick the Keanuissance, he's also bringing us a sequel to one of his most beloved movies.
Three decades after he first starred in Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure, Reeves is set to reprise his role in 'Bill & Ted Face The Music'.
Back in May, Reeves spoke to Stephen Colbert about the threequel:Apparently the new movie will explore what life has been like for the two leads now they've grown older and have families of their own.
Then, they have to travel through time once again to write a song to save the universe. But jumping into the role Reeves hasn't played since 1991 means making a few changes to his look - including shaving off the now iconic beard he's been sporting these last few years.
The 54-year-old actor was recently photographed heading to the set wearing a cap and sunglasses... and with no beard.
As you can imagine, fans of his more recent look were more than a little upset:
Variety reported that Alex Winter will, of course, be returning to Bill & Ted, as well as co-stars Amy Stoch, William Sadler, and Hal Landon Jr. In addition to this, Deadline reported that the cast will include Scott Mescudi - better known by his stage name, Kid Cudi.
We'll have to wait until August 21, 2020, to find out how it all goes down!
