When you watch TV today, you might think you're living in the 90's. We've seen 'revivals' of a ton of shows - Roseanne, Will & Grace, The X-Files, Full House, Boy Meets World, and they're currently shooting a new season of Murphy Brown. Some people have accused Hollywood of being "out of ideas," but the reboot craze isn't driven by creative bankruptcy. It's driven by executives making safe bets. Old shows are already established in viewers minds, and it's likely they'll watch a revival out of curiosity.

Now Netflix is bringing back Sabrina, The Teenage Witch. The original show starred Melissa Joan Hart as Sabrina Spellman, a teenager who discovers she has magic powers on her sixteenth birthday. She lives with her two aunts, who happen to be 500-year-old witches, as well as a talking cat named Salem. The series aired from 1996 to 2003, at which point Melissa Joan Hart was definitely not a teenager. Of course, fans know the show was based on the Archie comic book series of the same name. And given the success of The CW's Riverdale, which is also based on Archie Comics, it's a great time to bring back Sabrina.

The new show is called The Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina, and is said to be a "dark and intense" reimagining. (I can't wait to see they make a magical talking cat "dark and intense.") According to Variety, Sabrina will be seen "wrestling to reconcile her dual nature as a half-witch, half-mortal while standing against the evil forces that threaten her, her family, and the daylight world humans inhabit." The title character will be played by Kiernan Shipka, who you might remember as Sally Draper from Mad Men. A production photo recently leaked, giving viewers their first look at Shipka as Sabrina, and Ross Lynch as her boyfriend, Harvey Winkle.

Here's the old Harvey and Sabrina:

And here's the new Harvey and Sabrina:

Showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, who also created Riverdale, decided to share the photo, since it was already spreading around the Internet. "Well, it's out there," wrote Aguirre-Sacasa. "A 1st look at Harvey and Sabrina from the "Chilling Adventures of #Sabrina." ADORBS, right?"

Many people agreed that the photo was "ADORBS," and said they were excited about new series.

Meanwhile, other people said the photo was definitely not "ADORBS," and refused to accept a remake of their beloved 90's show.

One person pointed out that Nate Richert, who played the original Harvey, has a jacket similar to the new Harvey in the photo. I don't know what this is supposed to prove, but hey, this is what the original Harvey looks like now.

Well, Shipka was great in Mad Men, and people love Riverdale, so the new Sabrina series seems to be in good hands. Now can we have revivals of Friends and Seinfeld?
