Emma Watson has recalled the time she fell in love with her Harry Potter costar Tom Felton while filming the franchise.
The cast joined forces for a one-off reunion to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Philosopher's Stone, and stars Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, and Watson are just some of the familiar faces who'll be boarding the Hogwarts Express.
During the special on HBO Max, titled Return To Hogwarts, Emma revealed the extent of her crush on Draco Malfoy star Tom.
"I walked into the room where we were having tutoring," she began.
"The assignment that had been given was to draw what you thought god looked like, and Tom had drawn a girl with a backward cap on a skateboard. And I just don't how to say it – I just fell in love with him.
"I used to come in every day and look for his number on the call sheet, it was number seven, and if his name was on the call sheet, it was an extra exciting day. He was three years above me and so for him he was like, you're like my little sister."
Despite her strong feelings toward Tom at the time, Emma stressed nothing "ever, ever, ever, happened romantically," but they "just love each other".
And although Emma tried to keep her feelings as hidden as possible, it turns out Tom was aware of his admirer.
"I think I was in the hair and make-up chair and someone said something along the lines of, 'Yeah, she had a crush on you,'" he said.
"I became very protective over her. Yeah, I've always had a soft spot for her and that continues to the day. There's always been something that's like, I don't know, a kinship."
The reunion - which celebrates the first film in the franchises' 20th anniversary - is set to air on New Years Day 2022.
Earlier this month, Sky and HBO Max have given Potter fans an exclusive preview of what to expect in the first official trailer for the special - and it looks emotional.
In the video, Watson - who played Hermione Granger - can be seen walking along platform 9 3/4, where the iconic steam train departs for Hogwarts.
The trailer then cuts to a view of Hogwarts' Great Hall (or the original set of it in Warner Bros Studio Tour London) where cast members greet each other joyfully and giggle over champagne.
Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts will air on HBO Max and Sky on New Years Day.
