Harry Styles was hit in the eye with Skittles mid-concert and the internet is now furious with the perpetrator.
Skittles are always a treat to have; the intense flavors and the overwhelming sweetness make for a great combination, but it's a slightly different experience when they're being hurled at you from a distance.
On November 14, during a concert in Inglewood, California, Styles was attacked by a handful of the sweet candy and one of the pieces caught him right in his left eye.
Footage of the incident, which was posted to TikTok by user @ibringthep0p and then reposted by @etalkctv, shows the 'As It Was' singer doing a lap on stage to thank his fans when he suddenly starts clutching his face.
Check out the video below:Upon closer inspection, you can clearly see him grip his left eye as he doubles over. A few seconds later, he stands up again and continues waving at the crowd, occasionally squinting from the pain.
Of course, fans on social media weren't happy about the situation.
"Stop throwing things on stage full stop," wrote one user. "It's just not safe for anyone involved, you could hit Harry like in this video, you could hit one of the band members, you could hit an audience member, Harry could trip over it, it's not safe. Do not throw things."
"I saw the show. I wasn’t nice I hope they found who done it. They need this to stop. Before he really gets hurt," another added.
"The fact that initially it looked like one (which was bad enough!!) but the person threw an actual HANDFULL, [sic]. Even if it didn't hit him in the eye, what if he slipped on all of them and broke his f*****g leg??!!! TPWK except this person who i hope got slapped for this," a third angrily tweeted.
This isn't the first time the singer has been pelted with inanimate objects while performing.
Whether it's water bottles, phones, stuffed toys, or sometimes the occasional bra, Styles has had it all.
In other news, Styles had to reschedule three of his shows due to illness. Taking to Instagram, the 28-year-old apologized for not being able to perform.
He wrote: "Towards the end of the show on Wednesday, I started feeling ill, and I’ve been in bed with the flu ever since. I've been doing everything I can to be able to sing tonight, but I'm leaving the doctor now, and I'm devastated that it’s just not possible.
"Until very recently I haven’t had to postpone a show due to illness in the 12 years I’ve been touring. I’m so sorry to do it, and if there was anyway I could do the show I would.
"I’m sorry this news is coming so close to show time, but it was my sincerest hope to be able to play for you tonight."
