Hilary Duff blasts 'creepy' photographer for taking pictures of her kids

Hilary Duff has taken to Instagram to blast a "creepy" photographer for taking pictures of her kids without her consent.

The uncomfortable exchange took place on Saturday morning when the actress approached a man who was taking pictures of a group of children playing football. This included her own seven-year-old son Luca and one-year-old daughter Banks.

Watch the uncomfortable exchange below:

She captioned her video of the incident: "Paparazzi shooting KIDS Go 'practice' your photography on ADULTS! Creep! Laws need to change! This is stalking minors! Disgusting!"

Duff tells the man that she is uncomfortable with him taking pictures of her children and he offers to show her his ID in response, but this does not appease her.

She says: "I'm asking you human-to-human, as a mother, if you don't know anyone here, would you please stop taking pictures of our children playing football."

The cameraman tells the 32-year-old that he is simply "practicing his photography" and that her concern is "unwarranted".

"So I'll just post this to my 15 million followers on Instagram," she retorted, "and let people know how creepy it is that this is what you choose to do on a Saturday morning."

The cameraman then accuses Duff of making the situation "creepy" and ends the video by putting a hand over her camera.

Duff received countless messages of support when she posted the video to Instagram, where, at the time of writing, it has been viewed 1.4 million times.

One of her supporters was fellow actress Busy Phillips, who described the exchange as "infuriating".

"This isn't about his job or his 'rights.'" Phillips wrote. "This is about his OWN perceived POWER over others. I imagine it's the only time this pathetic person feels any power in his life. I know it's illegal for an adult not with a child to be inside a playground- how is taking pictures of children without parental consent legal?!??"
