Jeff Beck and Johnny Depp have released a music video together for an original song by Depp.

The duo has been on tour together since Depp's high-profile court case against his ex-wife Amber Heard finished last month.

Their music video comes ahead of a full album - titled '18' - which they'll be releasing together later this summer.

Featuring clips of Depp and Beck performing on stage together, the music video is for Depp's original track, 'This Is a Song for Miss Hedy Lamarr'.

The song pays homage to silver screen star Lamarr with poignant lyrics that suggest she fell victim to the pressures of fame. Although Depp reportedly penned the ballad several years ago, it feels particularly salient considering his recent court battle against his ex-wife, which became a media circus and polarized fans.

The Pirates of the Caribbean star has written two original numbers for his and Beck's upcoming album, the other one being a track titled 'Sad Motherf***in' Parade.' According to Variety, the rest of the album will be comprised of cover songs and is set for release on July 15.

In a statement accompanying the news of the album, Beck said that 'This Is a Song for Miss Hedy Lamarr' was the song that made him view Depp as a potential collaborator.

"That song is one of the reasons I asked him to make an album with me," he said.

The musician went on to praise his friend, saying: "I haven’t had another creative partner like him for ages. He was a major force on this record. I just hope people will take him seriously as a musician because it’s a hard thing for some people to accept that Johnny Depp can sing rock ‘n’ roll."

Tracks which Depp and Beck will cover on '18' include the Velvet Underground’s 'Venus In Furs,' the Everly Brothers' 'Let It Be Me', John Lennon's 'Isolation' and Marvin Gaye's 'What’s Going On.'

Meanwhile, the cover art for '18' features a sketch by Beck's wife Sandra, in which we're treated to a glimpse of what Depp and Beck might have looked like collaborating with each other when they were actually 18 years old.
