Keke Palmer has spoken out about her baby son's name after it was criticized by internet trolls.
The 29-year-old Emmy Award winner gave birth to her first child with boyfriend Darius Jackson last week and first announced the news on Instagram.
As previously reported, the Nope actress posted a series of snaps of herself in the hospital and even two heart-melting photos of her precious baby boy.
In the first slide, she shared a picture of what the couple looks like after "only 48hrs of being parents!"
In the next slide, she posted a video of herself singing 'Someone' by El Debarge to her boyfriend - who is a fitness instructor and former college football player - in the car after he included the track in some playlists for her when they started dating.
The third slide was a video of Jackson rocking the baby while they were watching the reality TV star Rolling Ray, and the fourth was a heartwarming snap of the two looking at their baby.
"I'm not hiding the world from my son, I’m hiding my son from the world' Hahaha," Palmer wrote, before sharing two photos of her baby and writing: "I'm just playing, my baby face is on this slide."
However, a number of social media users took to the comments section to troll the new parents on their new arrival's name: Leodis "Leo" Andrellton Jackson.
"That name sound like it led a civil rights March," one user wrote.
"That name is giving 'I have a dream,'" another person added, in reference to civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr's famous speech.
A further comment read: "[...] babe's gon be an activist of his time..#BLM [...]"
Palmer took in all in her stride, responding to a tweet with: "It's giving I marched with Martin, purrrr."
Most people expressed their joy for Palmer though, with thousands commenting congratulatory messages to the new mom.
"Congrats to you!!!!! To all of you. You're beaming," US comedian Chelsea Handler wrote.
Model Ashley Graham added: "hey Leo! You are too cute!!!! Congrats mom and dad!!"
"congrats to you and your beautiful family keke! know you're going to be such an incredible mom," YouTube's official account chimed in.
"First of all congratulations!! Second of all I already LOVE you as a mama third and most annoyingly (especially coming from me who is literally exhausted from hearing this from the butcher, the baker and the candlestick maker) THAT BABY LOOKS JUST LIKE HIS POPS! Also and more importantly looking adorable, healthy and happy," a further person added.
The True Jackson actress had revealed her pregnancy news in December during her SNL monologue, as she showed off her growing bump for the first time.
"There's some rumors going around," she said during her opening monologue for her hosting debut. "People have been in my comments saying, 'Keke’s having a baby, Keke’s pregnant,' and I want to set the record straight."
Ripping open the jacket to reveal her baby bump, she delightedly declared: "I am," and added: "I’ve got to say, it’s bad when people on the internet spread rumors about you, y’all, but it’s even worse when they’re correct!"
