Kim Kardashian has revealed she spoke to her late father, Robert Kardashian, through a psychic - but the response she got was definitely not what she was expecting.

Robert, who is the father of Kim, Kourtney, Khloe, and Rob Kardashian, found fame as a defense attorney who was part of O.J. Simpson's legal team when he was accused of murdering his estranged wife Nicole Brown and her friend Ron Goldman, after they were stabbed to death outside her house.

By the time of the trial, Robert and Kris Jenner were already separated, and Robert tragically ended up dying of esophageal cancer in September 2003, at the age of 59.

The family always honors Robert on anniversaries and birthdays, and Kim revealed she went one step further and tried to contact her late dad through a psychic, the result of which left her reeling.

Kim opened up about her experience of speaking to her late father in the afterlife in a new interview, revealing that he "laughed at" her through the medium.

Appearing on the cover of GQ's Men of the Year issue, Kim, 43, spoke about the impact her father had on her life and his beliefs.

Kim explained that Robert had been a devout Christian and had not believed in psychics or mediums, claiming they were "full of s**t", despite one having once told him that the "Kardashian name would be internationally known" one day.

Despite Robert's disregard for psychics, Kim admitted she'd often turned to them for reassurance, and even managed to speak to her father during one such session.

She explained: "My dad had a chip on his tooth and I always said, 'Dad, get a bonding and fix that tooth.' He’d just laugh and say, 'Kimberly, no one sees it. It’s fine.'"

However, at one of her readings - which she attended just after chipping a tooth herself - a psychic told her that her father came through, telling the reality star: "Your dad is laughing at your tooth."

Taking it as proof of communication from her father referencing their private joke, Kim exclaimed: "Who would know that? It was nothing that was on the show. It was nothing that I had ever said out loud. Those kinds of things just make me smile inside."

Kim's message from the other side is one thing, but her ex-husband Kanye West took it one step further when he brought Robert back in hologram form for Kim in 2020 for her 40th birthday.

The Skims founder shared the video of the hologram of her dad sending her a message on Twitter (now known as X), telling her followers: "For my birthday, Kanye got me the most thoughtful gift of a lifetime. A special surprise from heaven. A hologram of my dad. It is so lifelike! We watched it over and over, filled with emotion."

In February, Kim shared a birthday tribute to her late father, writing: "Happy Birthday Dad- it’s almost getting to the point where I’ve had to remember you longer than I’ve known you.

"Its been 20 years since we’ve celebrated your birthday here on earth. But I will take it because I had the best dad in the whole wide world and am so lucky I had 22 years with you!

"There’s so much I wanna tell you and show you and so many little humans I wish you knew because God you would love them so much! I can close my eyes and hear your voice and remember the funniest little things about you that make me so happy.

"I’ll never ever let that go. I just really miss you and kinda need you right now. Please come to me in a dream soon. I love you so much happy 79th birthday!"

Elsewhere in the interview, Kim recalled the final conversation she had with her father, in which he told her to take care of her siblings and that he "could see" they would be okay.

She revealed: "I took what he said to mean that I was going to be okay in life. But it made me make decisions differently," adding that she believes he would be proud of the success they had through their reality show, Keeping Up With The Kardashians, which began four years after his death.
