Kim Kardashian has opened up about her latest business venture.

As well as staring in her family's reality TV show and working for social justice in prisons, mom-of-four Kim keeps herself busy with her multiple fashion and beauty lines.

Recently, the 42-year-old mogul launched a swimwear collection - Skims Swim - as part of her clothing company Skims.

Designed to fit a range of body times, Skim Swim includes pieces in all sizes and catering to different levels of coverage. After launching earlier this year, the collection won praise from shoppers for its inclusivity and quality.

Now, fans have been treated to a behind-the-scenes look at the production of the swimwear line. In the latest episode of The Kardashians on Hulu, Kim chatted about what she hoped to achieve with her swimwear.

During a trip to Miami with her sister Khloe and a group of their friends, the mom spoke about how excited she was to see the Skim Swim popup shop - and how closely she'd been involved in the design process.

"I come up with all the campaigns, I come up with the materials, the fabrics, the styles like I really do everything," she admitted per BuzzFeed News, adding that she's a bit of a "workaholic."

She went on to say that the mission behind the extensive swimwear range was to allow all women to hide their "insecurities".

"I wanted to make it like LEGOs," she said, adding: "So it could be like, if you want to cover your arms, wear that. If you want to cover your legs, wear that."

"Like, everyone, pick your insecurity and figure out how to cover it," she added.

While Kim's intentions might have been good, some people weren't happy about her message. Some viewers took to Twitter to slam the mogul for encouraging her impressionable fans to hate their bodies - and then cashing in on it.

"Watching the new Kardashian episode and hearing Kim say 'pick your insecurity and hide it' when speaking about her Skims line makes me angry. Such a bad comment to make when you're an impressionable figure," one person wrote.

"Hate Kim Kardashian and the way she markets her products as being for hiding your insecurities like… it feels so slimy to be so outright about making money from people’s self-hatred," another tweeted.
