Kim Kardashian has given audiences a first-hand look at her parenting techniques.

The reality TV star paused her interview on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to scold her young sons, who were misbehaving in the crowd.

During the show - which aired yesterday (June 22) - Kardashian was chatting to Fallon about her appearance on Saturday Night Live last October when her kids started getting boisterous.

"I'm hearing kids," said Fallon, prompting the 41-year-old mom of four to turn around and give her children a stern talking to.

Check out the moment below:

Pointing out Saint, six, and Psalm, three, Kardashian said: "Guys, can you stop? This is, like, your first time at work with me. Can you please?"

After she'd introduced her sons and their friend Remi, Kardashian added: "I hear them making so much noise. Guys this is your first time at work with me don't mess this up."

Fallon laughed along with the rest of the audience, then launched into a question about Kardashian's eldest North, who has recently turned nine years old.

The beauty mogul shares all four of her children (North, Saint, four-year-old Chicago, and Psalm) with her rapper ex-husband Kanye West.

When Fallon asked her how they'd celebrated North's birthday, Kardashian explained: "She's really into special effects makeup. She does really good wounds and scars, and she's really good at it. She was taking classes, so she wanted to have a spooky wilderness-themed birthday party."

However, Kardashian had only just begun to describe how she took the kids out camping in the wilderness when she had to stop again to reprimand her sons.

"Guys seriously, you gotta go," she said, prompting her youngest son Psalm to be removed from the audience. Saint and Remi stayed, watching the interview more quietly.

With the boys dealt with, Kardashian went back to describing her daughter's party, saying she had "no idea" where North had gotten the bug for special effects makeup from.

"I should be concerned. I have no idea how she got into it, but I got her a teacher to show her and get all of the supplies."

"We took about eight kids, eight girls, and we went camping in the wilderness," she explained, adding that North "wanted it to be really spooky".

"She wanted these manikin heads, and she taught everyone how to do special effects wounds and scars," Kardashian added with a laugh.

Later in the interview, Saint and Remi could be seen giggling together when a video of North singing was played. Fallon even called on the little boy to "help" when Kardashian gave him a mini-facial from her new SKKN skincare range.
