Kim Kardashian has opened up about the struggles of raising four children as a single mom after splitting up with ex-husband Kanye West.
The reality star, 42, is mother to North, 10, Saint, seven, Chicago, five, and four-year-old Psalm, who she shared with her rapper ex.
And while Kim might have all the privileges associated with her billionaire wealth, she admitted she still finds it hard juggling parenting four young children.
The Skims founder opened up during a recent episode of Hulu's The Kardashians, where she compared single parenthood to being "in the trenches".
In a clip shared by Daily Mail, Kim explained: "This week in particular has been so hard. Obviously, there's just times in life when things get really hectic and I think you just have to tune it all out and realize that being a mom and being really present is the most important thing."
Her children were seen running around, playing, and being rambunctious, as Kim added: "I am in the trenches. I am the one doing all the daily stuff all the time.
"I do the morning routine, I do the night routine, it's like a pit stop with race cars. It's like, 'Brush your teeth, brush your teeth, brush your teeth, brush your teeth. Do your hair, do your hair, do your hair, do your hair.' Like changing tires really quickly."
Elsewhere in the episode, Kim also broke down in tears as she addressed anti-Semitic comments made by her ex, Kanye, and how she works hard to protect her children from learning about what their father has done in recent years as well as addressing why he is missing from key moments in their lives.
She explained: "I am just in protection mode of my kids and just try to hide everything. It's just hard for me to figure out like if they don't know anything, why wouldn't dad come over for dinner?
"Why isn't dad at my things? That kills me. It's the one thing that gives me anxiety because then I'm embarrassed if people are going to say something at a game or a function."
Kim added: "Is it safe? Is it dangerous? I just don't know what to do. I've been managing it the best way I know how, because I want my kids to see a healthy dad, you know, it's just a lot. So I take it day by day."
She and Kanye had begun dating in 2012 after being friends for several years and got engaged in October of the same year.
They had their first daughter - North West - in 2013 and got married in May 2014 in Florence, Italy, later welcoming their son Saint in 2015, before having Chicago and Psalm via surrogate in 2018 and 2019.
Kim officially filed for divorce in February 2021, citing "irreconcilable differences" and agreeing to joint custody of their children.
A year later, she filed a complaint to the Los Angeles Superior Court alleging that Kanye was trying to "delay" their divorce being finalized, and claimed that he "has made it clear that he does not accept that [their] marital relationship is over."
Kim was declared legally single in March 2022 and the couple's divorce settlement was finalized in November of the same year.
