Kristen Bell has recently doubled down on her stance about giving her kids non-alcoholic beer.

It all started when the 43-year-old, who shares two daughters with her husband Dax Shepard, candidly revealed that she allows her daughters to drink non-alcoholic beers last month.

"We've been at restaurants where she's said: 'Do you have any non-alcoholic beer?' And I'm like, maybe we just keep that for home time," Bell said while appearing on an episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show. "But then I'm sort of like, you can judge me if you want, I'm not doing anything wrong. That's your problem."

She then went on to explain how her husband would have a bottle of non-alcoholic beer while taking care of their eldest daughter.

"[Dax is] a recovering addict, but he likes non-alcoholic beer, so he'd pop one open, he'd have [their daughter] on his chest, and we'd walk and look at the sunset," Bell explained. "As a baby she was pawing at it, and sometimes she'd suck on the rim of it. So I think it feels to her like something special, something daddy, something family."

However, it seemed as though the comments did not sit well with a lot of fans as they took to social media to criticize the pair's parenting techniques.

This hasn't bothered the Forgetting Sarah Marshall star though as she recently doubled down on her views.

During an appearance alongside Shepard, 48, on his Armchair Expert podcast, Bell explained: "What's so cute about you to me is that you are so logical and fact-driven and evidence-based — but if people want to be angry about something, they're going to be angry about it.

"When they have tried to order [non-alcoholic beers] at a restaurant or something, it's because of a very specific connection to you," she continued, before going on to reference her husband's past struggles with addiction. "Because first of all, they're educated on addiction and what substances are and how they affect your body and how scary they are and what they can do to you."

Shepard also added that he and his wife won't be swayed by other people's opinions.

"If anyone has a problem that I let my kids drink NA beer sometimes, that's fine with me. I'm not going to change based on what anybody else says because this is our family and not your business," he said on the episode that premiered on August 14.

In the past, the superstar parents have been pretty outspoken with their unique parenting styles and have repeatedly emphasized that don't shy away from being open with their children.

Appearing on an episode of the 'In Fact With Chelsea Clinton' podcast back in April 2021, Shepard explained how he told his daughters who are eight and nine about his 2020 relapse.

"We explained: 'Well, Daddy was on these pills for a surgery and then Daddy was a bad boy. He started getting his own pills,'" he told the host. "The proudest I am of my children ever is when they admit something and say sorry. That to me is the single most impressive thing a little person can do, because it’s the bravest thing to own your shortcomings."

In 2018, he also told Us Weekly that they also don't take their duties as parents lightly, explaining how they teach their children via visual techniques.

"You know, generally, kids see their parents get in a fight and then parents sort it out in a bedroom and then later they’re fine, so the kid never learns, how do you de-escalate? How do you apologize?" Shepard shared. "So we try, as often as possible, to do that in front of them. If we fought in front of them, we want to also make up in front of them."
