Mischa Barton has claimed that she was told to sleep with Leonardo DiCaprio when she was just a teenager in order to boost her career.

The internet is once again discussing the 48-year-old Hollywood icon's dating preferences after he was spotted attending a party with the 19-year-old Israeli model Eden Polani.

This is following the breakup news from last summer when the Titanic star split with his long-term partner Camila Morrone, a few months after she turned 25.

Since then, users on social media have been cracking jokes that the actor allegedly ends things with his girlfriends when they reach their mid-twenties. He is also accused of never having dated anyone over the age of 25.

Due to all this commotion, people have now resurfaced an interview from 2005 of the now-37-year-old actress - who starred in the successful show The OC - saying that when she was 19, she was advised to sleep with DiCaprio if she wanted her career to excel.

In her interview with Harpers & Queen, The Hills actress recalled seeing the then-30-year-old actor - who had broken up with Gisele Bündchen - at a photo shoot with her then-publicist Craig Schneider.

As cited by the Metro, she claimed that Schneider had told her: "For the sake of your career, go and sleep with that man," however, Barton told the publication that she wasn’t interested in older men, asking: "Isn’t Leo like 30 or something?"

Many users on social media are weighing in on Barton's words after seeing all the controversy surrounding DiCaprio and his string of much younger girlfriends.

One user posted an excerpt from her interview and wrote: "This aged well."

Another person referenced his new alleged teenage partner and said: "The fact that this article was in 2005 and his current gf was born in 2004…"

A third chimed in and commented: "This makes me wonder if the young women who dated Leonardo DiCaprio were or were not pushed into dating him for publicity by their family and agency and it's making me sick."

A fourth said: "That's actually really weird to have your publicist tell you to have sex with someone that you don't want to 'for your career' I feel so bad for celebrities."

After rumors began flying that the Oscar winner and Polani were an item, a source close to him clarified to Page Six that they are not together romantically.

"There is zero truth to this. He was seated next to [Polani] at a music party, along with many other people," the insider said. "It’s just silly. Leo clearly can’t be dating every single person that [he’s] in a room with."

Prior to Polani, the Revenant actor was linked to 23-year-old model Victoria Lamas and also sparked romance rumors with Gigi Hadid shortly after breaking up with Morrone.
